Visual composer on my theme is acting weird. It was not showing up until i deactivated and activated the plugin again. Even then, i dont see no access to use the editor in visual mode.

please check the word count @ bottom left and what appears in visual editor.

Please deactivate all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. This is most likely a plugin conflict.
Also, please make sure you use the version of visual composer that comes with the theme. if you use any other version, uninstall the plugin and delete the files and install it again from here: http://screencast.com/t/SAEFvZVv

Did as suggested and even removed the newspaper theme and did a fresh instal. Still doesn’t help.

Please also test this on a wp default theme like twentyfifteen to see if the problem is still there. If the problem is only with the newspaper theme, then please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.co mand provide wp-admin so we can inspect the back-end. I found that it’s working fine on WP Default theme Twenty Sixteen, but not on Newspaper. However updating Newspaper to the latest version that I just received today seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for your support and the new release.

@salimnaz is Did you by any chance install the test version of wordpress 4.5 before the release? Visual composer had issues with the new version of WP, but it was fixed yesterday.

My previous WP update was made from the WP dashboard welcome screen and I assume that wouldn’t be a test version. I made a fresh instal of the theme deleting old version via ftp. Do i still have to update the visual composer manually or does it include the latest version of the plugin?
Although the issue seemed to have resolved yesterday after the update, its reiterating again. I use google chrome as my default browser. Checked with firefox and it works fine on there. Is there any other way to fix this once and all for chrome ?
PS: I deleted the old version through FTP and updated the theme via WordPress using theme file downloaded from envato released last day.

The last theme update is tested and works fine on Chrome. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn file if you’re using then test again. Also make sure that you’re using lat version of Visual Composer plugin included in theme’s path, V 4.11.2.

Just updated to Visual Composer V 4.11.2, but same story with chrome. Only works on Firefox.
Update ! Works now after clearing cache although got issues editing some pages.
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Now check your pages again and if you still have problems please provide details to what they are and a link to the specific pages.
