when i edit post to video format and use post template 11 my featured image is gone. i dont use youtube featured video because its content from my own, how to show the featured image when use video format post

i use it on localhost i see it wont work with my own featured video link will this be possible in the future? because i dont use FB YT or Vimeo for videos.

Please notice that functionality should work on our theme, whether you are on localhost or live, sorry! Make sure that you are using the latest theme version installed via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. i have latest version installed, Paste a video link from Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Facebook or Twitter it will be embedded, this is what i want but then with my own link not from these platforms but my own uploaded file to wordpress uploads folder not https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= but like https://mysite.com/content.mp4

Hello. I have the same problem doesnt pull the image from a Video Format. Using the post template 8, YT video.

In fact, before was working fine but stopped to work so i have to upload an image.

First of all, make sure that you are using the latest theme version installed via FTP way, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet, purge all CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare System and check the results.

Hi I have the same problem for featured video. I followed all the instruction on https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/ (format video, Post style 11) but when I click “upload” I don’t see the generated preview image on featured image. I bought and installed the “Newspaper” theme yesterday and I only installed the plugins that came with the theme. The preview seems to work on the post page but not on the front page. I’m using the “video news” demo and my links are from youtube.
