Hey!

I didnt have custom css for logo size, only to align further to the left.

How can I make the logo not scale on the desktop site? I have limited knowledge of CSS so example would be much appreciated.

I found a similar post and fixed the issue. Didn’t know mobile feature was turned on with NewsPaper7.

For anyone else with this issue read this and turn off mobile theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/with-7-0-version-smartphone-not-shown-pages/

Hey,

Tried this but it didn’t appear to work for me on NewsPaper7. Are they any other locations I might need to change it?

Thanks!!!

Thank you very much! I thought I had tried that, but obviously not.

Thanks for getting in touch. I am using the page builder which doesn’t have a sidebar, I have also disabled it which you can see in the following screenshot. Also note in the screenshot that the side bar area is bigger than that actual text area. This doesn’t make sense to me and leaves me with next to no real estate to write my post.

Any way to disable it? I really cant see how its useful at all.

cheers!

Exactly what I am after thanks!!

Hey,

I changed it to centre, I’m still playing around. When I use the default setting the logo sits to the left but its indented a few center meters and doesn’t look very good. I was looking for a way to target the logo using the custom CSS so that I can move it further to the left.

Cheers!

This fix doesn’t seem to work in Newspaper 6. Any idea how I can make it work?

See site here where I am testing – http://obsessedefficiency.co/

I’ve answered my own question after double checking my settings. For those that dont know you can enable/disable comments on pages from the template settings.

ThemePanel -> Post Settings -> DISABLE COMMENTS ON PAGES

Also note that you must have comments enabled on your pages. You’ll see this under the “Discussion” in page edit mode. If you dont see it then select “screen options” from the top and add it.

Hey,

I understand why its doing it thanks. I guess what I am asking then, is if you can allow for this case in your JavaScript/JQuery (I assume that’s what you are using). Just looks a bit silly with the whole menu highlighted.

You can see in my old site it works like this – http://www.lync.geek.nz/

Thanks for your reply. That doesnt really work for me as I want the larger area you get from my current settings.

Would you be able to help me with some custom css to push the logo across to the left?

amorpeth

No worries 🙂 So I can get the update free of charge when its released?

amorpeth

When is that likely to be released and will there be an upgrade path?

The documentation indicated that this feature already existed and it was a key requirement for me.

Its listed here under Newspaper documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/

Also to note I have updated js_composer and cleared all caches.
