Also, what do you mean intro in the subtitle? I want to have a paragraph on the website that’s the article intro and under this to have the TOC.

May I suggest the option to begin Table of content after the article intro or the option to use it floating outside the main content area?

Showing it before H2 is a common feature of plugins that does TOC and it would help to have articles that start with a short introduction and then offer the reader an overview about things being discussed.

After few hours of testing I found the issue 🙂

Cookie plugin was adding that extra loading time.

Site is now back at 90%+ performance in gtmetrix.

Hope it helps other people too, if you run into the same issue, deactivate plugins 1 by 1 and test again till score improve.

I think the problem is not about WordPress or Newspaper theme. Facebook can`t see and display webp images. We must wait for them to add support for this format too.

I see, the problem I got is when edited with Gutenberg I lose the header on mobile if I don`t create mobile page. If I do, then I get 2 pages with exactly same content.

I was looking for an option like on the article to create a template for pages (one desktop one mobile) in order not to create 2 pages for everything I post.

I think the only fix would be to convert page in article and create a template without date author etc to look like a page.

Both are accessible through browser and it creates duplicate content problems.

Anyway, I have added canonical on site.ro/about-mobile that points to site.ro/about so I won`t have problems with duplicate content with Google index. Its a fix, but not a perfect one.

To my knowledge, the mobile page should keep the URL of the Desktop page (calculatorescu.ro/despre/) and it does, but only when is accessed on mobile.

The problem is Google and anyone can access/find the mobile page from desktop with the URL calculatorescu.ro/despre-mobile/

Before the update: calculatorescu.ro/despre-mobile/ redirected to calculatorescu.ro/despre/ if written in browser URL bar (this is correct from SEO point of view to not create duplicate content).

I am doing that, I use Tech Pro, but it doesnt reduce the size of woff file. Would be nice if in the future we will be allowed to do that too.

I ve come to the conclusion there are some icons that shall be loaded (share icons, search and few arrows.

Do you think newspaper theme can povide some lighter woff files? just for the basic icons? 250k to load just for under 10 icons seems a little too much.

So, I`ve been looking into it today and I was able to disable the load of google fonts by using a blank header and create it from scratch on my own.

I see it is a file with 120kb size, it is necessary for theme to run it since I dont wanna use icons on my site?

I fixed the problem with menu, i had to deactivate Load JS Deferred from litespeed.
