If you want to hide the sidebar on mobile you can if you use CSS to customize it. At the moment, on the mobile version the sidebar moves to the bottom of the content.
You can hide it by using this code:

Have you try deactivate plugins? There are many thing can be happend to slow your server. Maybe its incompatible some plugin whit nespaper :(.

I mean, you have a lot of plugins runing in your site and maybe the CPU and RAM isnt enogth or just arent incompatible whit newspaper theme.

Well, from my experience and point of view is something wrong with the hosting companies you hired or some plugin slows you site and uses a lot of resources. It makes no sense that many hosting resources are used only by the newspaper.

one last thing
deactivate: smartsidebar, Smooth Scroll, show post views, ajax view count, and 7 days post shorting 😛 and test if make a diference in resources usage

If you use analytics you can track search queries too

If your visits are organic (search engines) you should dont have problems because its gradual traffic. And im very sure in BANA-CORPORATE DELUXE you can manage more than 10K visits per day in one site whitout problem 😛 .

Perhaps you have just been unlucky and chose bad hostings 🙂

Eso no es problema del theme, ve a configuración de wordpress + media y revisa que esté bien configurada una ruta. Luego le das guardar y vuelve a probar subir imágenes, o en su defecto resube el wordpress ya que ayer se actualizaron los wordpress de todo el mundo y quizá por ahí se produjo el error

If you are using Adsense NEVER minify any JS. If is possible css either. Only use HTML minification .
in cloudflare deactivate everything and set CDN only.

Another thing, use similar ads positions like before you switch to newspaper

And the last thing, every january are less advertisers
