Never mind – I switched to Default template, then back to the Pagebuilder + pagination template, and somehow the sidebar came back …

I’d hope the mobile theme not only gets adopted but also becomes another selling pint for the theme. I was using WPtouch, but I switched as son the mobile them became available and I don’t plan on looking back. Having a mobile theme that maintains a consistent look and user experience is huge.

I love the simplicity of the mobile theme (that’s pretty much the whole point of a mobile theme), so I’m not going to ask you to start bloating it up with all kinds of options. But other mobile solutions (for example, WPtouch) offer the ability to exclude categories from mobile, so I’d suggest that option is worth considering.

I just followed the instructions with the exchange plugin and it didn’t give me any trouble. I’m only using it on the homepage and I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t work elsewhere. Maybe you have a conflicting plugin?

I entered the custom CSS you suggested, and it took care of the problem – but if we could figure out what caused the problem to begin with, that would be better 🙂

1. I didn’t make any modifications. I do have template 6 set as my sitewide default for posts – obviously that’s affecting Woocommerce products, but that’s not my intention.

2. I used the same plugin I’m using here to import Amazon products with your Newspaper theme, and it worked great, so maybe there’s a conflict between the plugin and Newsmag?

If you want to log into the site and investigate further, that would be fine, or if you want to live well enough alone that’s okay too. One way or another, thanks for your assistance!

Nah, I don’t actually have an account called “admin,” that’s like password “1,2,3,4.”

I’ve thought about using that “Staff editor” sort of solution for admin posts … seems a little weasily, but lots of people do it, so I might go with that.

Thanks for the response. I don’t think this workaround is feasible, since I’m sure it would affect everything I’ve already published and I don’t want to go back and republish hundreds of posts … so no Module 1 or Module 7 for me!

I am setting featured images manually rather than using this option because I feel it’s too limiting since it automatically places featured images at the top of the post – and sometimes the featured image needs to go someplace else. So is there no way to have Module 7 work without having this option enabled?
