Following this post I’ve managed to get this working with a child theme. Thanks @vlad1984 and @ouchmyego.

The only place I’ve had to change the parent theme files is in the changes to wp-content\themes\Newspaper\includes\wp-booster\td_module.php – adding this into the child theme didn’t work.

There seems to be contradictory information in the instructions here https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ – are some files in the wp-booster supported in child themes and some not? @bogdan-b, can you help on that?

Thankfully the plugin developer released a fix…

This is a pretty commonly used plugin – 60,000 active installs.

So just so I’m clear on this, the TagDiv response is ‘tough, you’re on your own’?

Thanks for the response Simion. I found that there is a plugin conflict with the latest version of the ‘widgets on pages’ plugin, which we’re using to display ad blocks in posts.

Is a fix possible, or do you have any alternative suggestions how we might get around this?

Hi, I’m having the same problem, and I’m using Newspaper 8.1.

When I make a category primary in the categories widget on the right of the post editor, it doesn’t work. I used to get around this by setting the primary category in the post settings as in your screenshot. However, I think the post settings section no longer exists in Newspaper 8.1? I’m not seeing that section in the editor anyway.

Please could you let me know how to resolve this?

Thanks, gzip compression is enabled, and is working on most files. It doesn’t however work on this particular stylesheet for some reason. Have you any idea why?
