1.How do I make a Block that shows articles, may be mix articles from posts, and video’s from video page? Blocks and Grids only show posts, I’d like to create a block in homepage that shows Recent Posts and at least 1 Video that leads to the Video Page

This is a setting issue that only impacts the Header Manager Desktop View in Tag DiV Composer, not Mobile view. Any element added or any element edited, becomes sitewide, instead of the page that is being edited.

Why does anyone need access to our Cpanel/FTP if this is not a coding issue?

Can Newspaper 9 provide a solution by Remote Entry through Teamview app, or give uptions other than deactivating plugins, in order to reset the Desktop Header Manager in Tag Div Composer?

If you or Simion could solve this, very greatful?

Hello Vlad,

IF you can solve this quick, you are a genius. I deactivated all plugins, reactivated them, and issued a new license. Still, Tag Div Composer makes changes to all 20 pages on desktop version. Doesn’t matter what page or category I use Tag Div Composer to install element or write something, all side wide and all pages and categories get affected. I have no plugins that conflict, and deactivated all cache. Mobile Theme does not have this issue.

Got a huge issue, Tag Div shows changes on every page, instead of the page that element is edited or created on. Please advise how to fix immediately, we are attempting to launch, big issue here, and it transferred to other licenses. Its only destop view, not mobile. I checked all settings, its on default. The issue was prior, Chrome browser would not allow edit content feature in Text Column inside Tag Div to be edited, unless used text version insead of visual. So I went to Firfox as a browser, it fixed that issue, and we could access Content Text EDitor with Tag Div Builder, but than it made changes to every page. Please help fix immeidately. Thanks

I think its all good now. One final thing, do you guys have short codes to give so I can restrict content access until they sign up for subscription, mainly partial access, meaning they read a little bit of the article? Something that goes with the Newsletter plug and Mailchimp. There is Paid Membership Pro, but than they have their services knocking out your guys built in news plug ins.

Grateful for your answers. I was told to pick a post page. I deactivated a post page, and keeping TagDiv on every page, so that issue is solved but still the other issue exists which is…

1.I have a news page that is NOT the home page and there is no designated post page. But I also have other categories. How do I choose for some articles within their own category or general posts to go on the main news page that I created as a the page to receive all news, but some articles to only go on the specific category page I like to choose and not show in the first page of the main news page? And how do I keep one specific post at the top and not let new post drop it down?

2. In the Tag builder, how do I command a block, or a grid with news to be which category I want in that page, or even lets say in a block of 5 to have 3 articles from one category and 2 of them from other categories? So If I have 8 different blocks, or categories on a page, how do I differentiate them and their content?

3. How to tell the TagDiv system to keep an article active in the main news page, (Not Home Page) or category and not be filtered down by new posts, and or tell a block or grid of 3 or 5, to keep one important post permanent active while the other posts to rotate based on new posts? And would your answer apply the same way for the home page?

4. How do I change the Footer content of Fuetures, Popular, or editors choice based on pages or categories. For example, if I have category of finance, I may want the category economics and politics in the footer popular/editor choice, future article sections, rather than having it site wide? Or I may want certain posts.

5. The footer content has a section “Email US” But it is blue and hard to read, I don’t a section in the Theme Colors to change that to white since the background is black?

Based on your explanation of Pages VS Category, I think I am almost done building almost understand the functionality of the difference. I am stuck at one section between the difference, Please explain.

Although they all post to the Page for all the news. The issue is. UNDER SETTING AND READING, I picked Home Page to be my main static site, (most content is information only ), and post pages to be the news page under Pages, however it converts it to a category while deactivating the TagDivBuilder and just shows feeds. I would like the TagBuilder to be active, so that I may want to put a Revolution Slider, or a Topic header, how to do that without making the homepage the post page?
2. Under this scenario where Settings and Reading is set to Static for Homepage so that the site lands on the homepage without all articles going to it like a category, the Post page reads Home -Blog under the Post Page. How to Change the word Blog to something else? and Add other categories to the Crumbs?

1. Would you please tell me to edit the picture in the Author site wide, and individually, and how to add additional authors? As the site only bools from Administrator author only.
2. In the Column Text Element, there is Block Header 17, Used in Static pages, how do I use that for Posts via individual and site wide?
3. In the Single Image Element, there is 3Dshadow that I used for still images on static pages. How can I used that on post pictures?
4. Is there a plugin that works well with Newspaper 9 to restricts content or user based on 1 article, 5, or even half or portion of a article?
5. I chose MailChimp with Newspaper 9, after someone subscribes to my newsletter, and I want their access to limit to the articles based on number of articles views or a portion, once that restriction is set, how does the system within Newspaper 9, and or the Plugin recognize and allow users who have paid a subscription? I see in the theme there is Join or Sign in, is that the only way? Please send links with pictures, and with explanation.

1. Thank you for a thorough answer. So if I choose option B, than I need to change the permalinks on every post that I make, so it doesn’t say category, is that correct? And some other reconnecting of codes? I think you mentioned something in that extent in a previous post.
2. I plan to run newspaper 9 on up to 5 websites. I am concerned about newsletter membership security and being able to take the members information to another provider at anytime if I choose. Mailchimp members info are stores as a third party. Is there one that major news uses?
3. For donation, is there 1-2 that you would recommend for best use? There is paypal, give, etc. And need a vendor.
4. I want to post one article with newspaper 9 on one website, but have display in another website that has newspaper 9, same theme, simultaneously, how may I do that?
5. And how do I import a finished Newspaper 9 theme, to another website where I would have another license?

Thank you for answering, I think I almost get it, but need further clarification PLEASE, As I just purchased 2 more licenses, and will purchase 1 more.
1. Bloomberg, NY Times, CNN, Epoch Times, Are these news websites building each cagegory as pages? Because non of their permalinks show the name “category or page, rather just the topic and subtopic.
2. I still can’t figure out, If I have one page and 15 topics under categories, or 15 pages? If I choose a page to represent each top or subtopic, how do I tell the theme to display the post in the appropriate page, as well as the Home page if I choose? Basically, I would like most new posts to stay display on the home page, and some to just display on its own individual page, and may be show on the hompe pages in a small section of recent articles. In this sense, I don’t understand the difference in how the posts will relate, work, appear, on pages vs categories.
3. I have 2 options.
A. Have Home page and 15 pages for each topic, have latest post appear on home page and the individual top page?
B. Have Home Page and 15 categories, and have latest post appear on home page, and categories?
Well, What is the difference between A and B? It seems the same to me, no?

And that its only function code to display and need to attach to an actual provider? Mail Chimp and the ones you mentioned are third party, that have access to my clients information, and at anytime I can lose access to them. Please advise? I want to keep my readers information private, and just send out through email and text notifications for news articles, and may be charge a subscription fee.

Thank you for response, but that not my question at all.

My question is this

Newspaper 9, has designed the theme to be Posts that go on pages or Categories

Well, Look at Bloomberg, The NY Times, Epoch Times, CNN, and all the major companies. Non of the permalink state Category when an article is written, the posts just as to a section in their news, such as Opinion, Health, Politics, Tech, etc.

So why has Newspaper designed it this way? Is it that those major newspapers have a page for each category and they post each category from separate pages? And this theme just has categories? I need to mimic mainstream and would like to know why it was designed this way. There are ranking factors as well as name recognition for each category, while not calling it a category?

I basically need to know if I should create a page for each category, instead of using post feature from the home page to post articles, and why? And Why is Newspaper different or do I have a wrong understanding?
