Update: the TD-Composer-Fix plugin did work. Thanks!

We get the same error with PHP 8.1.33.
I’m hesitant to use your fix since Maddest says it doesn’t work.
Search does work on mobile, and occasionally on desktop, but mostly gives a fatal error.
Please advise.

Ok, thanks. But…with the attachment page templates, Tagdiv uses the description field. But it’s the caption field that needs to be displayed (this is the default for WP but you are using something else). We are using one of your cloud based attachment page templates.
[tdb_attachment_description]
Is there: [tdb_attachment_caption]?

The attachment cloud template shows the ‘description’ field, inexplicably.
How can this be fixed or modified to show the ‘caption’ field (which is what everyone uses!). It seems that Tagdiv is incredibly slow on fixing this as the OP asked for this almost a year ago.

Ok, it looks like you need to have the Standard Pack plugin activated. But it would be great if these blocks were active by default, and not just with standard pack. The options are limited without it.

This is SO frustrating. The layout of my homepage is a mess now and there’s no easy way to restore it to its previous functionality.

Note that this bug seems to be fixed with Newspaper 11.5. Thanks.

This is a from a 4K iMac. It only showed up with the recent theme update.

I think that it is not the object cache, but rather the little buttons for loading templates and adding a mobile page screenshot of buttons that the theme update has added to the admin panel. These add a layer on the home page when logged in as admin. There’s no way to get rid of them, and they prevent any clicks on the menus and the admin header.

I have the same issue. The footer is not editable. I’m using the default demo.
And, there’s no way to load a different template from the cloud library, you get an error of ‘Invalid Template Type’.

daveslc
tagDiv Member

I have the same issue – Most Popular doesn’t show anything. I do have the setting checked in post settings.

I still cannot import a footer template and continue to get the error, “Invalid Template Type”. Vlad says “Indeed there is an issue on this at the moment. ” But this doesn’t seem to be fixed.

Editing the existing template (Default Pro demo) with the website manager doesn’t seem to give me any options for changing the content (like the popular posts and popular category sections).

I’m at a loss with what to do.

I don’t want to disable the mobile theme. I want to see how it’s supposed to look.
I’m trying to understand why there is no ability to go past the 3 or so latest articles. Can’t you add a pagination option?
Thanks

Do you have a demo that shows how the mobile category pages should work? With pagination?
When I looked through your demos, none of them show pagination on mobile categories.
Thanks,
Dave

Thank you. Which single post template in the cloud library is the same as that used in the Default PRO Demo?

daveslc
tagDiv Member

Ok, but that means that caption data is not displayed. Captions are the default for images, not descriptions. Can you change this so the caption is used?

daveslc

PS – Vlad – how do you get to the website manager page you show in the screencast above?

daveslc

This is still not fixed. I cannot load any footer templates from the cloud library. Do you know when this will be fixed?
I still get the error: “Invalid template type!”

daveslc
tagDiv Member

Additionally, with the Cloud Library, the Default Pro footer gives the error ‘Invalid Template Type!’
And, the Cloud Library Default Homepage template (not the demo template) times out (but loaded).
And, there’s no ‘Default Pro Author template’ to match the Default Pro theme option.
And, there’s no ‘Default Pro’ Header template to match the Default Pro theme option.
Why so little support and attention to the Default Pro theme options and Cloud Templates?
Can you fix this and add the appropriate pieces to match the Default Pro theme?

daveslc

No, this is not helpful.
What good are the demos then? Your cloud library doesn’t have the demo homepages.
One of the reasons I bought the theme was because of the cool demos you have.
How do I get my homepage to look like the demos then?

I am getting this same error:
<b>Fatal error</b>: Cannot redeclare td_comment() (previously declared in /home/wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/comments.php:138) in <b>/home/wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/comments.php</b> on line <b>138</b><br />

It happens when I try to display a parent category. The plugin Enhanced Category Pages causes a conflict (so I deactivated it).

The problem happens when there is text in the description of the parent category. Remove the text, and you don’t get the error.

@Calin Seriously? You have to redo all pages with the mobile theme editor in order for the mobile theme to work?
This is really a poor implementation.
None of my pages work with the mobile theme plugin enabled. None.
But disabling the plugin allows them to work.
Some of my pages are autogenerated, and cannot be edited.
What options do I have to use your mobile theme?
This is one of the main reasons I bought your theme.
The mobile editor also means that there’s a possibility of inconsistent content between mobile and desktop since it looks like you need to re-add the content in the mobile editor section. This is really poor.

@calin, How do you use google admanager with your theme?
