I solve this problem entirely by going to the standard WordPress plugins menu and uninstalling the mobile theme from there.

Then once it was uninstalled I went to the theme dashboard and re-downloaded the plugin and activated it and that fixed the problem.

Likewise, I had to disable the mobile plugin to restore any functionality, but I’d like to restore it… any updates on this?

What was the solution to this? I’m having the same issue…

DeanoAus

Same issue here. New site, hardly any plugins running. Mobile menu icons cannot be clicked.

Hey Simion,

Thanks for the reply. That’s ok, I’ll find a workaround for the page issue.

Disregard the second question, I edited the php file for the phone theme and restricted the categories via code. 🙂

Thanks!

To give some context why, I’ve got a nicely designed page that looks great on PC and I’d love it to just render in a responsive way on mobiles.

It’s not content heavy, but it uses icons and tagdiv elements to display information that can’t be replicated at all on the mobile theme, so I’d like it to render it in the responsive theme instead.

Ah, that was it. Thanks!

I also just stumbled on something else. The WP AMP plugin offers lightbox and carousel options for pages.

So if you enable AMP, you can actually force lightbox effects on images, along with dynamic sizes.

This can be marked as solved. For anyone else with the same issue:
– Install WP Embed Facebook plugin. It will fix any legacy posts when you enable the mobile theme.
– Install and activate the AMP plugin, where you can select lightbox options inside the post.

I’m now running the mobile theme AND AMP without issue.

As it turns out, installing the “WP Embed Facebook” plugin has allowed me to swap to the mobile + AMP plugin and have videos enabled on both.

Thanks, Simion.

I wonder if there is a plugin available to perform the embed until it becomes native again.

Thank you!

Hi Simion,

Thanks for the reply. I understand that using the embed code will enable embedded videos for any future posts, but this puts me in a difficult position.

I want to enable AMP and the mobile theme, but I have 300+ posts, many of which contain embedded videos that will now be broken.

Ugh, ignore those last 2 comments. Using the wrong tab! 🙁

Wow – that is strange. It has just started working by itself! I did not change anything! 😀

Oh well, thank you!

Ok, that’s what I thought.

Perhaps something for a future update? It would be great to be able to style that box a bit more. Colors / logo / etc.

Thanks again!

Excellent, thank you! That worked perfectly.

Can the contents of that box be modified? I’d like to add a line of text at the bottom as well as change the colors, put a header etc?

Also, you’re support and theme is fantastic. I’ve gone through about 5 themes this year, this is really a stand out from the rest. Well done.
