HI,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I wish that there was such an option for the Next and Previous Posts section. And Related Posts section. Many other free plugins allow this kind of basic functionality. Perhaps, this is something that could be implemented in one of the future releases?
Thanks,
Hello Catalin,
I totally understand that you can not provide custom service. You’ve already been very helpful and I am grateful to you for helping me get started in the right direction.
Thanks a lot!
Hello Catalin,
AWESOME! This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you!
I tried the code on my blog and on desktop it seems to work just fine … but when I checked the site on ipad mini (with 768×1024 view port) … and samsung galaxy tab 10 (with an 800×1024 view port) the ad (300x250px) scrolls down below the featured image (300×250 px). I was hoping that the featured image / ad block would be responsive.
Would it be possible for you to modify/add the code so that the layout remains responsive on other devices? I would REALLY appreciate it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!

Hello Catalin,
Thank you so much for your reply. However, the result is not what I desired. And it is not your fault. I just re-read my original post and I did not state clearly what I was looking for.
I need the featured image to be on the left side of the page and I need the ad block (ad block post template style 1) to be on the right side of the page. They both need to be right next to each other. With featured image and ad block in the same row… I would like the rest of the post (text, images etc) to show up right below them. Please note that the featured image size on my site is 300px wide and the ad size is 300px wide as well. How can I get the featured image and ad block to show up right next to each other without the ad block to scroll down?
I hope that you can help.
Thank you so much!
Worked for me as well. Thank you so much!! After last WP update mishap, I had promised myself not to ever update WP again without checking this forum but got lazy and pressed the update button … then rushed to the forum for a fix. 🙂
Images seem to be loading as before … thanks again for the fix.
@Catalin can you please remove link to my website from the original post? I did not know that could not edit the post later.
Thanks in advance
disabling plugins etc was a total waste of time.
@Catalin Applied the patch that you posted here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problem-in-category-pages-after-wp-4-4-update/
and it worked. The pagination is working fine now. Thanks.
I applied the above patch and it worked. Thanks.
Learned my lesson 🙂 Next time around, I’ll wait before updating unless the update is security related. Hoping that a fix for the theme will be released real soon.

My categories pagination stopped working. I checked Newsmag and Newspaper forums and noticed the posts from many others who are having the same and other issues after wordpress 4.4 update. Had I known that this would happen… I would have been careful not to update right away. BTW, I am using Newsmag theme.
I noticed that someone else posted about the same issue.
Just so that you know, I am not using any cache plugin on my site. And everything else seems to be working OK.
