Nah I meant how to disable category tabs from your homepage, from these blocks. I found a solution at the moment. I am not 100% sure it’s the right way and I do not have any clue what these modules mean there, but switching these OFF and ON I found one module and once I switched it OFF at least from that block I wanted, these tags disappeared, except from the first post from that block.

I did it at the moment via theme panel > block settings > category tags on modeles/blocks.

I meant to change already existing default page. But looks like it is not the option with newspaper. Anyway, it’s a minor problem, and now when I am thinking about it, maybe it is actually better that way how you guys are doing it via creating a new page for homepage and setting it as a new homepage. That’s actually a better way to do it. So you can close that topic here. 🙂

Looks I did not express myself clearly. Hmm… I did not mean background COLOR, but background picture. Like you can change your page background, add picture there, and also you can add footer background picture, but not header. On the screenshot you showed to me, you can change only color, nothing else.

Thanks, but if I hardcode it directly in the file, is it not the problem that after next update I need to edit it again, since you overwrite these files?

1. Demo did not gave me any information. So I asked directly from team, who said to my questions about overall score = yes, and now I found out that no there is no way to use only 1 overall score! <- WHYYYYY???

Also they said that ohh yeah of course you can add pros&cons <- and again I found out NO, you can’t.

2. I am happy with you if you find that review plugin is awesome. It means you never used it for sites who deal with game reviews. So yes it may work with you but with everyone else no. Also if there is really some people who like existing review system, then it’s good, because you do not need to ruin experience for them. Just add some simple options. Like:
A. One form “OVERALL SCORE”, so people who do not want add features can use overall score area to display score on page.
B. Add Pros&Cons option. So people can add pros&cons list. + & – / Good & Bad. Again if you are happy with exisiting form, you can still ignore pros and cons option.

See? And everyone is happy then. 😉 Also if you say that you have been using same system over 2 years now, without change, then this is the time to change it to better way. 😉

3. I asked about CUBELL THEME REVIEW SYSTEM. It’s installed and have all information there, since our site has been up years. But newspaper theme does not read that info, does not show cubell theme review system on page.

4. And newspaper review theme is outside of post. Which means that social buttons, post bottom ad and everything comes before that review block. <- This is clearly bug and should be fixed.

1. If I wrote that this folder does not contain these plugins/folders then it means that it does not contain these plugins. Maybe you should go and download latest version and check it yourself first?

2. About activation and update. Let me explain again. One is SHOUTING AT ME ALL TH ETIME that I need to activate it. And another is showing everywhere that it need to be updated. And our group will receive SPAM notifications about problem with our website because there is not updated plugin. I was forced to disable reports at the moment <- this is not solution. There should be solution to update that plugin and get rid of these notifications and reports!!!!!!

There is no such thing as “td-mobile-plugin”, that’s why I asked, all other plugins I installed that way, but that one I was not able to install because I do not have it. that’s why I asked where it is, because it’s not there where documentation saying it is and other plugins are.

The problem is that notifications tells me to activate plugin. Also I have now some not updated plugins and get notifications on dashboard and via email that please update your plugin. And I can’t update that plugin. It’s kind of annoying now. For temp solution I switched all reports off. So it would be nice to have as soon as possible some solution to get rid of that problem.

I suggest first to disable cache and check then without cache. That Way you can figure out is it cache problem or not.

Looks like the only way is to create new page and then set it to new homepage?

Ok I found out why. Looks like it does not count if I set menu from wordpress menus, I need to set up menus via newspaper tools.

I’m really the first person who noticed the documentation is not up to date?

And Mobile theme plugin is not in plugins folder.

Nothing, it still telling me to activate it.

And when I try to update plugins. An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.

And visual Compsers says that to activate visual composer I need to pay more money. WTF is going on? I paid almost 100 dollars for theme and now I need to pay for required plugins one by one again? What sort of scam it is?
