I was just using the ctrl+k as an example. I do use a plug-in to make “rel” references easier to input on hyperlinks so that’s why it looks different. But it does the same thing with any pop up. Even on drop down menus like for text type. Here is what happens when I click on the “paragraph” text drop down. I show what happens in theses screen shots.
And yes, I re-activated the theme.
I reset the activation and manually activated again (I’m using Newsmag, not Newspaper like your screenshot). This did not help.
Here is a screenshot of what is happening.
Alin this worked great! Thank you!!!
Hello! I have gone back to using the Big Grid element on Newsmag and the CSS provided no longer works. I assume with the 2.xx rewrite some of the module and block names were changed. Can you please help provide the proper syntax I should use to replicate this from before
.td-big-grid-overlay:after{
opacity: 0.7;
}
.td-image-gradient:before{
background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) 50%, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5) 90%);
}
Thank you!
Brad
Check this post. They cleared that up for me through their answers.

I didn’t think about that. Thanks, Alin. I was able to customize exactly how I want it!
Sorry, Alin, that was just referring to the title background padding.
I still haven’t figured out how to apply the css to module MX1 or module 1, 2, 3, etc.
Can you provide the correct tags for editing any of the modules/blocks? Similar to this…bolded part is what I need.
.td-big-grid-overlay:after{
opacity: 0.7;
}
.td-image-gradient:before{
background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0) 50%, rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5) 90%);
}
thanks!
Brad
One other question. When adding the background behind the title is there css to put some padding at the front and end of the title so it doesn’t start and stop right with the word?
UPDATE: FIGURED IT OUT!!
Relating to
.td-big-grid-post .entry-title a{
background-color: red;
padding-left: 4px;
padding-right: 4px;
}
thanks!

Awesome, thank you! What are the equivalent (.td-big-grid-overlay and .td-big-grid-post) entries for the blocks? Is it something like .td-block-15-overlay?
thanks for the support!
Brad
The different headers are working great! The only other thing is I want to suppress the ad totally on the front page. I don’t want it showing up below the header on the front page in Style 7, but want the ads on all others pages in style 1.
I was doing this when using Style 7 by using the disable buttons in the theme panel, but it now disables them for Style 1 also. Is there a line of code I can add to just suppress ads on homepage header?
thanks!
@neotrope or the TagDiv guys. Is the new Newspaper 5.0 going to be a free upgrade if you purchase the current theme or is this going to be a whole new theme purchase?
TagDiv, also can I contact you through e-mail to discuss possible upgrade/transfer options to get what I need?
thanks!
Brad
Are the same elements available in the Newspaper theme? Specifically Big Grid? Alternatively, if I purchased both themes would there be a way to interchange elements between themes?
I assumed that the page width of Newsmag was going to adjustable because it is a responsive theme. The narrower width makes my logo extremely small when used with a header ad and I’m not happy with the outcome.
Please let me know what my options are.
thanks
Brad
Thank you for that! It works great now. I do still have a question about widening the page though. How can I make the entire boxed area wider? I am running at 1440×900 and the boxed area (total width of page) is much smaller than a similar site that is running Newspaper. How can I get my page to that width?
I now notice on the Newspaper demo that it is wider than the Newsmag demo. Is there a reason for this? I’d really like the extra width similar to Newspaper but like the Big Grid of Newsmag.
thanks!
