How long will it take to get the requested old version sent to my email? I cannot wait forever. The latest version doesn’t work well on my site.

Thank you for the response, I have sent an email request for old versions of the theme, I need it as soon as possible. What I am currently using now is not ethical or safe.

I have never set auto update in wp-config.php. Also, I have implemented add_filter( ‘auto_update_theme’, ‘__return_false’ ); in the child-theme but did not work. The website database is large like 220k posts and installing a plugin to fix is what I am weary of.

I have looked into the Cron Events using WP Crontrol Plugin and I saw wp_update_themes hook, I have paused it and I’m going to watch if that will work.

If you did not make a backup before updating the theme,

The theme update itself always crashing the website everytime. I’ve been unable to get this resolved

In addition, is there any template code I can use? there are cases where I need to add custom ads code to the header or footer template file

@Bettina your suggestion is not a good one tbh, because I should not be hiring your dev for a feature that is generally needed by all users.

It should have been better to say we’ll pass this to our developer team to look into.
And of course, I can code it myself and I’ve done it before, it is just a matter of time to study how tagDiv handles the auto-update in the code. But I should not be hacking in the core theme functionality especially when is it embedded in a required plugin.

We are self hosted,
So what if I want automatic updates for other plugins except Newspapers theme?

I think tagDiv should have option to disable automatic updates. Since I do receive updates notifications I can choose to update at convenient time
