Thanks for the reply. I noticed that I indeed have the automated update activated from hosting provider settings. Still it’s quite odd that the auto update deleted all custom work/settings from Newspaper – Well, no harm done, because I was managed to redo the settings quite easily.

The same issue happened to me also and I was able to fix it by clicking Excerpt off from pre-made style presets. Don’t know if this has anything to do with your situation, but it’s worth to try.
