Thanks for the advise. I was able to get the updated version installed, I was not installing it properly before. As far as errors go, the only thing I know to do is wait and see if Webmaster Tools shows whether things are improving.
Unfortunately since installing the latest version, I can’t seem to make any changes to color layout etc. When I installed the updated version, it changed the color of some of my accents, like “log in”, “recent posts”, “latest articles” to black which clashes with the color scheme. I have changed all the theme colors, saved the theme colors and refreshed the page and there is no change. I don’t remember that be too difficult in the past and I’m really not sure why it changed with the update.
I also tried to set the template to show summaries instead of entire posts on previous articles, when I save those settings and refresh the page there is no change.
Also, when I preview the page, it shows an about the author post at the bottom of the page and a comments field . I would really like these elements to show on the posted pages, but they don’t and in this particular case never did.
Please let me know where I should go to fix these items, Thank you in advance for your time.
Regards,
Jeni
Hi Lucian
Thank you for getting back to me. The first section has a link to a previous thread that in turn links to some additional code that needs to be entered into the template. I’m sorry, but I’m not clear on where exactly I need to find the code to replace. I have look around a bit and I’m really not sure where it is or where it should be.
In regards to you second paragraph about updating, do I need to purchase the program again? I don’t see any option to update.
Also more errors are showing up in Webmaster tools now sighting duplicate content.
Some very simplified directions would be very helpful. thank you.
Regards,
Jeni
HI Alin,
Thanks for the advise. I did as you requested and updated the site again. It is showing that all of the plugins and themes are up to date. I am still getting the same error message nothing has changed. Do you have any other ideas as to what would fix this.
Regards,
Jeni
Hi Alin,
My URL for the Blog is http://www.jenuinelyjeni.com/blog/
The Errors are showing as “hentry Markup: microformats.org”
For the following pages, /blog/ Missing: author
/blog/author/wpjj/ Missing: author
I have only written one blog so far, but plan to post another shortly. When I view the post in WordPress it does show that I am the author so I’m a little confused as to where this is coming from.
Thanks!

Thanks Alin,
I had gotten hung up on the image size. I changed the size of the image and it works beautifully. Thanks for all your help.

Accepted, thank you.
Obviously I am not an expert and I came to this forum trying to learn something.
All snarky comments aside, I had tried that, it didn’t work which is why I tried writing it exactly how it looked in the link.
I have since made progress and the problem was the size of the image.
I apologize if my skill level is offensive to some.
Hi Alin,
Sorry for the delay, I have been traveling. Thank you for the links.
I added the image to the image library and i followed the link structure in the directions, but something is wrong. When I try to add the image it breaks the site and shows nothing but my background image.
I tried to add the link with code exactly as it appears in association with the image in the media section. I also tried replacing my domain with localhost like in the example you linked to like this…
What am I missing?
Ok Thanks. I was able to write the word “Facebook” and I can see that it is possible to put a link to an image instead. I need a little more help writing that link properly. How do I upload the image to WordPress and where will I find it to direct the link?
Thank you for the quick the reply.
I had found that option, but I was hoping to place a larger icon on the menu bar under my logo or possibly at the bottom of the page. Something a little more prominent. Are there any other options for this?

Please note Safari has been showing the bio at the bottom and has since stopped.
Chrome has
