Yes the image work fine in the standard sidebar (Sorry I was confusing), the new page that my developer has built has had a manual widgetised sidebar added and it will not show images. This is the link.

Thanks for that. I always forget about being able to change the size of the image element.

I was hoping to set something up like the Big Grid, so that I can set a specific category and the image of the most recent post would fill the top of the page. There isn’t a Big Grid for one post.

The more I think about it the more your solution would actually work better for a ‘picture of the day’

The sidebar seems to have corrected itself but I still cannot access widgets 🙁

Thanks so much for the feedback. I uploaded the latest version and cleared the cache and the widget is visible again. Instagram seems to have lost its count for some reason but everything else is working

I have temporarily removed maintenance mode on the site http://www.onthetown.net.au.

Been playing with themes and having the recurring problem.

For the current example, I have selected the Recipies Theme
Gone to Theme panel
Removed Logo from Logo upload in Header section
saved
selected the same image (Spoons with spices)
saved
Selected preview on Home Page

The logo is now a small image in the centre of the header and not stretched accross the page as it had been when the theme was uploaded.

Not sure what causes this

Thanks for your response. I actually have it on Header style 11. I took the food image off and put on another image then when that did not work, selected the food image again but now it is only a small logo. I don’t think i changed anything else.

There is a line of options to the right of the label “Don’t Miss’ and “lifestyle News’ I have managed to lose these when I tailored my data. I assumed they were a filter of sorts on the child classifications and that this was determined by the Ajax field.

Unless this has clarified it for you and you have a quick answer, I will do as you advised and have a chat to a developer. I am sure what I am wanting to d is within the basic setup and that I have done something wrong in my setup.

Thanks so much for the explanation. That makes more sense now and will allow me to create exactly what I was trying to achieve. Sadly I have done something silly and now appear to have lost the ajax menu items. I cannot add a screen show from the computer I am on today. Will send it through tonight (Sydney time). I have set Category Filter to on of my categories that has child categories. I have posts that have both the parent and child categories ticked. On the ajax TAB I have no selected Filter by category and in the drop box field I have added a series of category numbers separated by commas. I thought this would meant that posts that have the selected category ticked would appear in this section (they do) and that there would be drop down menu items for each category that I have added to the field above.

Is there something that I have missed?

As for the Facebook. Yes it is the Social Counter plugin, I have followed every step of the instructions except activating and deleting as I only purchased the themes and plugins last weekend. I assumed they were current. I will try that and see what happens
