Another two questions I have:

1. Will I have to recustomize the theme since, as you say, “it’s like a completely new theme.” For example, all of my settings already set in the Theme Settings section… Will those stay? Colors? Post type settings? Favicon? Etc.

2. Can I update to the latest version of WordPress (4.2.4) with the current version of Newspaper I’m running (4.6.1)? I know it’s important to keep up to date with the latest version of WordPress but that becomes difficult when you also need to go through the process of updating the theme every time.

I appreciate the response but my question wasn’t really answered. I have enabled the Author option in the settings. It shows up on my homepage just fine. However it does not show up under the post title on the single post page. I’m not looking to remove it… I’m looking to add it.

Also, the comments count is only removed when the screen gets under a certain width. Is the display hidden of width under X amount for example?

In the image you posted above, you are not showing a mega menu. I’ve had no other issues with other menu types. But yes, this does happen on the tagdiv theme on my tablet as well. Nexus 9 Google Chrome.

I guess that will have to do for now. Just going to make the updating process more tedious. Please expand child theme functionality in future releases. Great theme! Appreciate it.

I’ve reached out to the person who was having the issue and it was with Chrome 39 on a Mac. Is it because the smooth scrolling is enabled for Chrome which compounds with the Smooth Scrolling for Mac?

I’ve commented out the JS but have had to turn off the speed booster because I didn’t want to deal with messing with the minified versions. This is why it would be nice to have the ability to turn this off built into the theme… OR at least make it work so it doesn’t mess up on Macs using Chrome.

I’ve noticed this on my tablet (Android Nexus 9) as well… But it seems to only be an issue for Mega Menus. When you type the parent link, it doesn’t do anything. Looks like it’s going to show the drop-down box but then doesn’t. You have to press it again to get it to work.

All of these are new images. I’ve actually only noticed it when using the Mega Menu but only after clicking the “Next” Pagination. That still uses the full size images but resizes them.

Is there anyway these files can be updated and included with the theme as soon as possible? I am hearing from users with Macs that this smooth scrolling does not work with Macs. If that is the case, there should be an option built into the theme to easily disable it or just disable it for Macs.
