The controls showed up after I updated visual composer

P.S. whether I click on backend editor or not the GUI does not show up.

Also, when I try to create a new page i cannot add elements into the visual composer

It seems that shortcodes are only available for pages and not posts… Did I miss a trick somewhere? I know some other themes that have used shortcodes in posts – are we saying that shortcodes are only available for pages in the Newspaper theme?

Thanks for the response Bogdan, I would appreciate a little more insight into what is causing this, I can see all the tags are closed, the code looks good.

In another note, it would be beneficial for us to figure this problem out because table press is a widely used plugin and it would benefit more of your users if the plugin works
