Hi,

My goal is to upload images that fit as true to size of the thumbnails, so they are not severely cropped and cut off. Is this possible?

If I upload an image that’s close to the thumbnail resolution, won’t that achieve the goal? Or would that not be possible because a featured image can be used in various thumbnails with different resolutions?

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

If you don’t have any recommended size, when what do these resolutions mean? https://www.screencast.com/t/Bgp6wElkwXd2

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. If I choose the default Post Template as Style 2, how can I figure out what is the recommended thumbnail size used here?

Also, on my homepage, I’m using Big Grid 2. So when I go to Block Settings to reference the resolutions, I notice that Big Grid 2 is references in multiple places with 324 X 160 and 741 X 486. What does this mean?

In a situation where I have a featured image on a post also showing up in the homepage Big Grid 2 and/or Block 11, how do I optimize the single image I am uploading?

Thanks,
Matt

Is this cropping behavior applied to all images displayed on this theme, or just the slider gallery? If so, how can this image sizing issue be resolved across the theme?

If a new gallery plugin is required, what is the benefit of using the force regenerate thumbnails plugin? What problem does it solve?

Thanks

Hello,

I have used the “force regenerate thumbnails” plugin as you have suggested multiple times, but my images on my image galleries are still overly enlarged and offset. See the gallery here as an example. https://collabhype.com/vans-x-marvel-black-panther-sk8-hi-roars-with-style/

How can I fix this? Can the images I upload be autoresized? Should I use a different gallery plugin?

thanks

That worked. Thank you.

In the future, is there a way to check whether upgrading versions will break anything before going live?

And if there are issues, is there an easy way to roll back to a previous version?

Thanks,
Matt

Additionally, when I upgraded to the latest version, now the top section of my homepage is broken. What do I need to do to fix this?

It suggests “Big grid 2 Please move this shortcode on a full row in order for it to work.”. However, where/how do I do this?

I see. I have updated the theme and now the line crossing out “Related Articles” is now gone. However, is it supposed to say both “Related Articles” and “More from Author”?

Thanks,
Matt

Hello,

I prefer to use Block template style 8. I have attempted to update to the latest theme version, but apparently I already am using the latest. Please advise how to fix this issue.

thanks,
Matt

Hi Bogdon,

1) Do I need to run this plug every time I create a post and upload/new images? When am I supposed to use this? Is there any risk that I will lose all my images? When you say it deletes old images and regenerates, does that mean the newly regenerated images are saved in the Media Library?

2) If you visit my website or see the screenshot (http://www.screencast.com/t/2bdHvdRJ), as I’m scrolling down the homepage, it’s only the images that are delayed in displaying, except the first article. The article posts and text look to be loaded immediately. Is this behavior or infinite scrolling or lazy loading? Or is this a performance issue?

3) Simion mentioned above that embed would look best if it was forced to display as auto size and maybe centered
https://www.screencast.com/t/vPobOmY3L

.td-post-content iframe.instagram-media {
width:auto!important;
margin: auto!important;
}

Where do I update this code?

Thanks

1) What does the “force regenerate thumbnails” plugin do to resolve my problem? When I upload images, I am taking various images from the web and reusing them. As a result, they are unlikely to be an exact match of the recommended block/grid element resolutions. Will the plugin resolve this? Is there an easier way to make sure the images auto-resize appropriately? Or do I have to edit (ex. crop, resize, etc.) each image one at a time before uploading? Or is it recommended to always upload a larger resolution to allow the auto-resize to downsize appropriately?

2) As for the lazyloading. I have disabled this but I get the same result. When I load the homepage for the first time, all the images up to the first article under “The Latest” load. Then as I scroll down there’s a delay before all the other images load.

3) Where do you make changes to edit the iframe controls to resize? Can this be done within the theme or just for a specific post?

Thanks

Thank you this is helpful. Is there a way to do that same thing for an image gallery, not just individual images?

Thanks for the reply.

1. I didn’t realize that the thumb requires 741px width minimum. Where can I find the minimum or ideal picture image sizes for each element in this theme, so I can adjust accordingly?

3. For the suggestion of plugin conflicts. I’ve heard this suggestion before, but am not using any plugin that’s different than what is recommended in your documentation. Are there any other suggestions? If I can’t using this theme with basic popular plugins, then it’s not useful.

4. Where do I check and change iframe controls of image galleries and instagram posts?

Hello,

I understand how to navigate to Permalinks. What’s I’m explaining is that the page does not even load. https://www.screencast.com/t/wTgZsgXR

Thanks

Hello,

Where can I reset the permalinks, because when I click on the permalinks section of Settings, the page does not load, but shows “Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 120324096) (tried to allocate 196608 bytes) in /home1/oafu0gqf/collabhype.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/locales.php on line 613”.

As for the system status parameters I have followed the instructions and made the changes a while back, but am still having this issue.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

1) For some reason when I view my homepage in Chrome or Firefox on my Macbook Pro 13″ retina display or my Windows Surface Pro, the logo appears not that sharp. https://www.screencast.com/t/oo0HbzYyrZMy

If you compare it to the http://www.hypebeast.com website logo, which I’m using the same font, their logo appears more sharp. Do you have any suggestions?

2) Regarding the vertical space height of the logo, I am using the recommended pixel dimensions when creating my logo. So I create a page in Illustrator of the recommended pixel size, then add my text logo within that page. If you are recommending that should reduce some of the space above and below the text, then I am resizing the page, which does not follow your recommended sizing, right? Is there any reason why I should keep the recommended sizing?

3) I do like your example of the horizontal alignment of the logo with the menu items. Also, shifting the menu items to the left closer to the logo. Where would I need to update the code?

Thanks

I am not using any plugins other than the ones you have listed on your documentation or in the Plugins section of the theme. Please assist.

Also, I can’t figure out why the tagdiv composer is unstable or inconsistent. Sometimes I will open it to edit the Homepage and it will load the existing template fine. Other times the spinner will go forever trying to load and never complete. I also notice that I have more success when I click on the “Edit with TD Composer” link under the specific page on the Pages console. However, when I click into edit the page and click on the blue tagDiv composer button, I tend to have more loading issues. Is this a known problem?

mchammy75

Hello,

I have been clicking the save button and the browser displays the success text.

I currently don’t have any custom code or child theme.

I did deactivate all plugin except tagdiv composer that seems to have worked. However, I do have many plugins installed, mainly the ones recommended in your documentation list. If the plugin conflicts are the issue, what can I do? Does that mean I can never use these other plugins?

Thanks
