Same here. I posted several comments in this forum regarding this topic with no helpful answer. Common guys, it’s a simple question: How can we overwrite files in the composer plugin? This is not rocket science, is it? If we cannot do this, all customization would be lost (or at least not update-safe). Both is not acceptable.

Thank you! I know, where the files are located. However, there is no standard procedure for overwriting plugin template files. It can be done, but depends on how the files are loaded.

Well, but HOW can we do this? The developers should provide some information on this issue. I’ve already spent an inacceptable amount of time on this trivial problem.

There is abolutely no useful information in the article you mention when it comes to modified template files. How can we now do this mods update-safe?

Sorry, guys, what is the message here? That we have to edit template files in a plugin folder? Usually, this is not update-safe. Theme template files should be in the theme folder, that we can overwrite them in the child theme.

Sorry, what? We cannot overwrite template files update-safe? Are you serious? This would be the worst update I have seen after years working with WordPress. Believe me or not, but there are plugins out there that need modifications of themes files. How can we do this now?

Hi, I have the same problem with single_template_2.php. How can we now modify the template file update-safe? Do you want me to change core files in the plugins folder? Seriously? How can I overwrite this template file using the child theme?

Thank you very much. This is gross. I did a Dreamweaver full-text search for class=”slide-meta” in the theme folder with no results. The same is true for the Windows search. Do you have an idea why both engines can’t find this string? This is really important for modifications.
