2. Hide the “Next / Previous Articles” on certain posts.
3. Hide the “Related Articles” area on certain posts.
4. Hide the “Share” bar on certain posts.
5. Also, I’d like to adjust whether “Related Articles” section shows similar tags, authors or categories on certain posts.
You have answered #2 and #4.

This is not the question I asked. I asked about featured images.
For featured images it states:

That is not documentation, that is saying “just take a guess”. This also does not answer my question. To be clear, my question is:
What image size will not result in blank space on any featured image space or image module on both Retina and regular displays?
Please ensure that you are not using any optimize plugin to optimize your images and reduce the quality of these
I am not using an optimization plugin but I am using Save For Web options lowering quality, using smoothing, and stripping EXIF data. Why should this matter if the image shows up fully?
Why should an image resize differently it is optimized?
Optimization is not adjustment of size…
However, to bring best theme results you should use HD images
HD images will bring very poor results in all page speed metrics services
I have been getting very bad scores with this theme on google page speed (below 20/100!). I am attempting to increase the score.
modaestrat What is the size and aspect ratio to guarantee no problems on all devices in all styles and modules?
modaestrat I have uploaded a completely new featured image of 1000px x 667px, correctly within post editor and the same effect is occurs with both style 4 and style 5 with mac retina display in safari.
However, a 2000px x 1094 shows up correctly.
It shows up as 1021 x 558px. Is this the minimum size even for boxed display?
Beforehand 1000px showed up correctly (before last theme update).

Will the fix you link to break after update?
I imagine after theme/plugin update, this workaround will no longer work or will have to be done again.

modaestrat modaestrat PS importantly, I would like the image to also display in mobile similarly, without reverting to the mobile logo that is within the navmenu bar, but rather appear beneath it. (see the way the website example above responds in mobile)
