Same instructions as at the following link. You are currently using the Classic AMP setting:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/content-mismatch-missing-embedded-video-2/
Update to 9.6.1. Activate the mobile theme plugin. Go to Theme Panel > Mobile Theme. Where it says “Use Mobile Theme For” select ‘AMP’ and save settings.
Okay, was able to update. Yes, the thumbnail scraping issue persists in 9.6.1. Takes a few saves before it grabs the video thumbnail.
I’m not sure yet. I’ve tried updating twice now from 9.6 to 9.6.1, but for some reason the theme is not updating.
Try 1068 x 713.
Thanks Simion! I’ll give that a try.
That’s what I’ve used before, but since I now use Cloud Templates, that would fix the Header Ad, but then would align some of the other ads to the right. Is there away to only center the Header Ad?
Thanks!
Hi Catalin,
I don’t think you understand my request. This request is in addition to the currently-available auto loading types: “previous posts,” “next posts,” “same category previous,” and “same category next.”
Thanks.
I’ve tried both suggestions, but unfortunately neither method worked. I’ll keep the mobile site turned off for now.
This is true. The pages come back with a “Valid with warning” message from Google, so it’s probably not an issue.
I did try and they showed up as blank spots except for the Google ads, but I can certainly try again. A couple of them require header and footer codes to be added, so do I use the header-amp.php and footer-amp.php in themes/Newspaper/mobile?
I would love to use the Mobile Theme/AMP functionality as I think it looks and works great, but those mobile pages will not load ads from Amazon, Taboola, and Insticator. I’ve only been able to get Google AdSense to load on those pages since the Mobile Theme and AMP were combined. Unless there’s something I’m missing.
Yes, that’s how the Featured Video/Image worked before the 9.6 update. Since updating to 9.6, you have to press Save Draft several times before the video thumbnail is added to the Featured Image.
Sorry, we were having some server problems yesterday. I don’t believe screen protector is on? Try this link: https://www.vitalthrills.com/2019/03/12/interrogation-filming-begins/
I can confirm the second problem above is happening with the 9.6 update. You have to update the post several times before it grabs the thumbnail from a video for the Featured Image.

Actually, I have a follow-up question for tagDiv regarding this. The custom code works fine on mobile for regular posts, but now the inline ad on a Cloud Template-created page is right-aligned. Is there a way to have both work?
Example: https://www.vitalthrills.com/2019/03/11/singapore-grip-charles-dance/
In the Theme Panel, go to Custom Code > Custom CSS and add this:
.adsbygoogle {
margin-left: auto!important;
}
It should be noted that this only works if you have Infinite Loading disabled. Only WordPress comments work with Cloud Templates with Infinite Loading currently.
I figured out the non-AdSense ads, but still have the question about the header ad. Thanks.
As I mentioned above, I solved this by using a different template and making that look like Single Post Template 9. I do believe Single Post Template 9 has a bug of some sorts.
I guess I can try to use a template that works and put the video player on top like Single Post Template 9. Is there any shortcut way to do that? Like grabbing code from the normal editor (not TagDiv composer)?
I tried removing the adsbygoogle.js line from that inline ad, but it’s still the same. You don’t think it’s a bug with that specific template (it’s actually Single Post Template 9, I was mistaken above).
I created yet another Cloud page with Single Post Template 4 and the inline ad on that one also works just fine, just like Single Post Template 1.

This all worked. Thank you!
Got it. Is there any way to add Google ads to the Classic version, and perhaps at least a different color header bar from the standard blue?

I’m trying the AMP plugin without using the mobile theme, because like PatWire, I have other ads than AdSense to run. However, when I use Paired the page layout does not look good. The only one that looks kind of decent is the Classic one, but that doesn’t look like the theme. Anything I can do to make the Paired one work?
