This happens to me occasionally. The image disappears from the web page. It shows that the image is still in the library and reposting that same image does nothing. In order to restore the photos, I must delete them from the library and then upload them again from my computer. Then I must post them on the articles again. I have not been able to figure out what causes this, but fortunately it does not happen often.

Your post reminded me of a similar issue that I had a year or so ago. I could not save any of my updates to the theme panel. I resolved it with my hosting company (GoDaddy). I had to make some simple changes to my firewall settings and the problem went away. I don’t remember what settings were changed.

It seems to be working correctly now. Maybe caching is the problem.

I have the same issue. My mobile home page displays on a computer. It happened after I updated to WordPress 5.9 and the newest version of Newspaper theme. I updated both on the same day. https://MrElectrician.TV

I got an email from GoDaddy tech support about the problem that I have been having with saving from my theme panel. I gave them the information that you passed on to me.

“I’ve pulled the firewall logs, requests are getting blocked:

Our firewall blocks any requests with malicious/suspicious behavior.
Such requests can be generated working on the website and admin panel.
So we whitelist the IP/URL of admin/user that conveys the firewall requests generated by this IP/URL is legit and no further blocks”.

They also provided specific details for me to whitelist my IP Address.

I did what they told me to do and IT WORKED! I whitelisted the IP Address of my home computer by accessing the firewall dashboard and entered my IP Address for whitelisting.

Thank you for checking. My site is currently down. I put in a ticket with GoDaddy due to a firewall issue and the site went down. I just got off the phone with them and it should be back up in a few hours.

I deleted the MintyPro template that I was working on. It just seemed like it was more trouble than it was worth. I also was having save problems in TagDiv Composer. I could only save once and then it would not save again.

I have given up on trying a separate template for mobile. Now I would just like my desktop template to display in Mobile. I can’t seem to do that. Right now for my desktop home page the editing screen for mobile is blank. However mobile display’s something that I don’t seem to have much control over. I have my Amp plug-in set to transitional. Should I set it to something else?

Thanks for the reply. I never got a 403 or 404 error. The thing would just keep spinning while I went and made a meal or took a shower or did something else. I did put WordFence into learning mode which changed nothing.

I did update with a new server and added a firewall a few weeks ago which is when the problem started. I just got off the phone with GoDaddy. Evidently there is a problem with the new firewall because the tech person on the phone was not able to disable the firewall. I had the same problem. When I click disable in my hosting firewall menu it still shows the firewall active.

So I initiated a ticket at GoDaddy which can take about 72 hours to address the firewall problem and the admin-ajax.php request. I will let you know the outcome.

It takes a long time for me to open up anything in TagDiv Composer, but eventually it loads up all the way without any error messages. I recently upgraded my server from one CPU to three and that has helped speed things up.

I was experiencing a slow down whenever I worked on my site and was getting 524 timeout errors. I contacted my hosting company and found out my server was basically overloaded. I upgraded from one CPU to three and things seem to be much better. I ran a GTMetrix test before the upgrade and after and there was an improvement in download speed.

I tried the MintyPro template for mobile and it turned out to be a disaster. It looked good in previews, but when published it displayed as half code and half content on my IPhone. Had to change back to my old design quickly.

Has anyone had any success publishing one of the new mobile templates for Newspaper?

My website crashed too when I followed the instructions to update my Newspaper Theme. I was able to restore it from a backup.

I have already started looking at new themes. I don’t know how long the current version that I am using will be supported. The email that I received said things will change in May. Does that mean if I don’t update my theme by May it won’t be functional anymore?

Thank you for posting your screen shots. That is exactly what happened to my web site after I updated the Newspaper theme. After I activated TagDiv Composer the site went blank except for a few lines of code.

I restored my site from backup and am going to search for a new theme. What a PITA.

Yes. I got the same thing. When I activated TagDiv Composer my site went blank. I was able to restore from backup. I don’t plan on updating the Newspaper Theme anymore.

Now I am wondering if I need to start looking for a new theme.
