Are you talking about this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/ajax-load-more/ ? Does it work out of box or do we need to do some extra settings inside?

Also, Can you please tell me whether you think that the issue of infinite loading for high traffic site is only with this plugin or you are talking about otherwise as well. I mean, how do you see the impact on speed due to infinite loading or ‘Auto load next post’ on sites using ‘Jnews’ ( Demo here )or ‘Publisher’ theme ( Demo here ) functionality?

Now, even WordPress is officially promoting ‘Infinite Scrolling’ through Jetpack,

However, we still don’t have it here. Even, the copycat clone of our beloved Newspaper theme, “Newspaper Magazine AMP – Publisher” have this ‘Infinite Scrolling’ feature but in spite of multiple requests here, The TagDiv dev. says that they didn’t find any viable solution for this and hence they don’t have it here yet.

I don’t know why aren’t you looking at this feature seriously. 🙁

Before saying anything, let me clarify that I didn’t say that there are thousands of users looking for this. I said hundreds.

Though I didn’t actually count before writing this number, please don’t put wrong figures on my name. 🙂
Also, not all the customers actually comments here for the feature requests, but amongst whatever other feature requests are there on this platform, ‘Auto load next post’ is prominent over them,

I have also given you a few global news site examples. Now, it doesn’t mean that only Indian or USA sites are adding this. It’s just that these are the sites which I usually visit and I noticed new changes in it in last few months.

Anyways, I was only trying to make you aware of what’s happening in this line outside. I don’t think that the tone of my message above was to show Newspaper theme is inferior in any way. It’s just that I wanted it to be the best.

I am not going to ask for the refund but I will certainly keep reminding you about the features that are still missing here. 🙂

Thank you for the response.

Well, I am not really very good with technical stuff and hence didn’t understand what you mean by creating a plugin for function.php but I have successfully created a child theme with proper implementation of styles.css and function.php but still, couldn’t find any way to keep mobile style.css and function.php update proof.

May be someday, you will create a detailed blog post on this and then I will be able to actually implement it on my site. 🙂

Yes, I also noticed this and also use their AMP plugin otherwise. They are good developers with very good AMP products but yes, their prices are usually high including that of Newspaper theme extension.

Would love to know TagDiv’s take on this.

Thank you for clearing my doubts. One last thing:
How to deal with styles.css and functions.php that are under ‘mobile’ folder and created specifically when the website is viewed on mobile devices. Should I simply copy functions.php and style.css after creating a new directory ‘mobile’ under child theme?

Above I am talking about the mobile related folder of main theme, not about td mobile theme which we need to install as a plugin.

1. I understood that the child theme can also not be future proof, if any of the files that I added in child-theme get modified in original theme as well.
But what about Styles.css and functions.php? How does child theme load style.css? Does it use stylesheets code from original theme and child theme both? If so, then how?

What if there are two codes written for customization of same elements on both original theme CSS and child theme CSS. Which will be finally displayed on the live website?

Does child theme makes calls from style.css and functions.php from both original theme and child theme to display it on live website?

Does this affect the speed of site as well?

There are manily few core font name, size and color changes done by me on the original style.css of my theme. How can I keep it secure and stable even when I make an update of the theme?

functions.php is usually remain unchanged with theme updates but for better update-proof ness, should I add the custom code to the child theme functions.php and remove it from main functions.php?

What will happen if I add these codes at both the functions.php ( theme and child theme), will it cause any conflict in any possible way?

Yup, it’s true that these people don’t support Newspaper theme publically because the codes at Newspaper theme are different than the standard WordPress code and sadly, they will never be able to do so publically ever because of the same reason.

The case is similar with any other ThemeForest purchased the theme, not only Newspaper theme.

For me, https://www.autoblog.gr/2017/04/17/mercedes-amg-a45-vs-volkswagen-golf-r/ is working almost smoothly here on my google chrome browser.

If you are a developer, do give it a look.

Or you may want implement codes from https://infinite-scroll.com/ as well.

Yes, I am aware of that but it needs little extra customization for it to work on the Newspaper theme.

In a separate thread here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/need-little-help-with-most-demanded-auto-load-next-post-thing/ , I Have clearly explained what we need to customize under this plugin as I couldn’t do it myself because of limited coding knowledge.

And sadly any TagDiv members didn’t appear to help with this.

One another great tool for this is: https://infinite-scroll.com/ These are the behind great old plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/infinite-scroll/ . This plugin is outdated though, but their JS on the site is updated.

See if you can do some magic ( Even though you hate it. 🙂

Yeah, that’s true.

There are dozens of threads here asking for the same feature request and there must be a thousand others who want it but didn’t start a thread or comment.

I understand that adding a fully working feature needs an update but with these clues, the TagDiv team should at least attempt to help us at least in a temporary way.

Let’s wait for the day, any nice dev team member put their hands on it. 🙂

Hi JackV, I checked your site. Your plugin seems nice but it provides a totally different solution. You are simply displaying all posts on one page and hence display full posts rather than excerpts.

– But our main purpose it to get more Post views and hence more traffic. Your plugin, on another hand, will decrease the page views.

But, this plugin is still nice and come in use for some specific case. You may submit it on WordPress or sell it otherwise.

I added this to Custom CSS. Should I try adding this directly to voice demo style CSS? if yes, where? Will you please check if the above code works on your side?

Also, is there any use of that gap which made you keep it there in the default version of Voice demo or it’s just a design mistake in this new theme template which will be taken care in the next update?

I totally understand your comment on this and I will look forward having an inbuilt feature for this in our themes.

Everyone wants to get extra traffic to their site and for any news/magazine site whose main source of revenue is based on RPM, it’s very much needed.

TagDiv is the best and the most popular news/magazine theme still available in the market but with this sudden surge in ‘mobile first’ users and with the inception of new features like ‘infinite scrolling’ etc., I believe your dev team must need to review their priorities.

Hi, the ad spot you spotted comes after paragraph-1 and inserted using an ad plugin temporarily since article top ad wasn’t working.

Yes, I checked different ad codes for the article-top but nothing appears to be working. I am realizing this very recently. Can you spot if the ‘Article Top spot’ is being executed on the page or not? ( No matter if it displays ad or not)

All the other ad positions are working and I am not using ‘Mobile theme plugin’
