I think you forgot to address the bug with pagination fo the smart list. Even when I come to the lst item the Next button is still highlighted and stil works.
Thank you.
Elijah.
Thank you, but how do you make it appear only when scrolled to the bottom?
The way I understand if you specify the setting in numbers then it may appear on the bottom of the short post, but still will appear in the middle if the text of another post is really long?
Thank you.
ok, so there is no way to actually create a custom order.
If you can add it to the whishlist for future theme releases, I would appreciate it.
Thanks fo your answers!
Sorry, for the late reply, I was on vacation.
Ok, let me see if I got it right.
The way I can hardcode only specific posts to appear in the slider is by:
1. Filtering dor specific category and then
2. Providing specidic posts IDs
as shown below
but the question kinda remains…. after I did ll the filtering, how can I make sure in which order they appear in the slider? Changing the order or post IDs doesn’t help.
Please see the screenshot below – how can move Foodamo Portal post to be the first?
Thank you!
Elijah
but affected by the post sort order – https://www.screencast.com/t/d88YyiXo which by default is set to Latest, so you will always have the latest posts from those categories
Thakns but it still doesn’t explain which category gets the first pick.
What you saying is that: if you specify in the filter: 23, 24, 25, 26 then the latest posts will be displayed from those categories, but I till don’t understand how can I make sure that latest post from speific category will be diplayed first.
I this case, whether I specify 23 in the fits place or 25 doesn’t change a thing.
thank you very much.
OK, I get the idea but Im really confuse.
Let me illustrte what’s going on.
1. If I specify 65 in Multiple categories filter (screenshot – http://imgur.com/a/vm9VE) everything works ok – it displays content of this category in Section 1 as shown in the screenshot in my original post.
So fat so good, works as it should.
2. The problem starts when I specify in the same filed multiple categories – screenshot http://imgur.com/a/SAcgy
The porblem here is that I don’t seem to ba able to control the order in which categories are displayed, for example:
a) If I di this: 1903, 172, 73, 75 – I ger one result, but if I shuffle it like this:
b) 75, 1903, 172, 73 – it makes no difference it is displayed in the same order in the main window (section 1 in my originnal post)
c) Even if I add one more category – 65, 1903, 172, 73, 75, the order still the same
So the question remains – if I specify multiple ategories – how ca I control which one of the is displayed first in the area 1
it works. Thank you very much.
Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.
Althought you miss the whole point – my point was to give you a custmer feedback, I don’t nneed to be defensive though.
Cheers.
And have good day.
Sorry. I was referring to Newspaper, that is what we are using.
A couple of comments from customer perspective.
1. “You should disable the server cache ”
—- To the best of my understanding you can’t really disable the servr cache on WP engine (and why should you :))
And WP engine doesn”t allow to use W3 Total Cache at all.
So you are basically either forcing your customers to use different hosting or to not to use your mobile theme.
It doesn’t seem like a great approach.
Majority of my clients are on WP Engine.
2. My personal experience with W3 Total Cache is pretty bad – it broken a couple if sites (even with minify feature disabled, so it is a good plugin – but it is hit and miss.)
