Sorry Catalin but as far as I can see all this information applies only (or mainly) to desktop version and I am very satisfied to its speed. I do not see any particular options or methods to optimize specifically mobile version. I would be very grateful for any help.

Never mind, I added
#td-header-menu {
height: 48px!important;
overflow: hidden!important;
}
to ipad portrait/landscape advanced css, problem seems to be solved.
