Thanks, I have been able to resolved the issue…I made a mistake in my code.
Thank you but sorry I don’t understand exactly what I have to edit in the td_module_single.php
Sorry. Kindly ignore/delete this post, it doesn’t belong here.
Thank you Catalin.
It worked as expected.
I used child-theme and it worked. One more thing, how can I get the “Source” to left align with the title and “By Author Name”. It is currently shifted a bit to the right.
I want it to shift to the left so it starts at the same point as the Title and Author name. Please how can I do that?
I have made the changes but the source still displays at the footer. Below is an example url page.
http://www.myjcr.com/news/knust-news/knust-first-year-student-commits-suicide/.
I use the default post template thus I edited the loop-single.php but can’t see the changes.

Thank you but will I not loose the changes after a theme update?
Well noted Catalin.
What about disabling the “author info box” and the “more from author” throughout the site for all posts and pages. Is it possible?
Thank you Catalin. I had forgotten about that simple turn-off featured.
As a follow up, you warned against usage of Google ads in smart sidebars by this:
Warning: If you plan to use Google Adsense in the sidebar don’t enable this feature. Google’s policy doesn’t allow placing the ad in a “floating box”, you can read more about it here.
but when I clink on the link and read what Google says, it doesn’t say anything in relation to usage of smart sidebars. Can’t I go ahead and use Adsense in the sidebar? Because it doesn’t alter targeting by usage of keywords nor alter the content/language as Google says.
Hello Catalin,
Thank you. It worked.
Thanks for your prompt response but this fix may not be applicable in my case.
I will be publishing about 5 posts daily after the renovation of the website and majority of posts will be from random visitors we have no information about thus we won’t need “about the author” below the posts nor “related posts from author”. Depending on the category the posts belongs, there may not be a need to display any information about the author nor related posts.
That’s why I asked about disabling for specific categories so posts assigned to those categories will automatically not have any author information nor related posts from author.
If I am to fix it by entering post ID, it means I will be doing that fix virtually everyday.
I hope I have made myself clearer.
Thanks for your great support but I am alright now. I am using blocks in pages to display items in those categories and things look good now.
I would want to pursue the category display anymore.
My problem is with the display of other main categories at the place where you have highlighted sub-categories.
For example, if I have a main category called “News” having sub-categories as “Entertainment”, “Sports”, “World”. And another two main categories called “Articles” and “Photos” but both don’t have sub-categories.
News
– Entertainment
– Sports
– World
Articles
Photos
When I click on News, the sub-categories display horizontally below the main menu…as you illustrated in your recent response. But when I click on “Articles”, “News” and “Photos” appear below the main menu…as if “News” and “Photos” are sub-categories of “Articles”. The place is expected to be blank since there are no sub-categories for “Articles”. I hope you understand now.
I have been having tough time with it thus I am trying out the usage of pages instead of category display.
Well noted @Chris S. Thank you.
Hello Catallin,
Yes I was referring to sibling categories display. In relation to my second issue. What I meant is that the last 3 main menu items (Events, Photos, and Videos) are stand-alone main categories thus I don’t expect any siblings to show when clicked. It is expected to only display the list of posts assigned to that category.
I have tried different category templates but they are display other unrelated categories when “Events”, “Photos”, or “Videos” is clicked. Articles, Events, News, Notices, Photos, Site, and Videos are all displayed as sibling categories. Even the “Site” category is not expected to be visible at the front end at all but it shows.
How do I get it to show only the sibling/sub-categories/related sub-categories rather than completely unrelated main categories.
Thanks but you didn’t say anything about the change of theme name.
# You may please have a look at the site, http://www.myjcr.com
Great. That is what I meant but I have few related issues to be resolved.
1. The vertical display of sub-menu items (which are sub-categories) follow the order I set using the “Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order” plugin when I hover over a main-menu item, but the horizontal display of sub-menus/sub-categories under the main-menu bar after clicking the main-menu item doesn’t obey the same order anymore. It was earlier following the same order as the vertical sub-menu vertical drop-down.
2. Secondly, I have three main-menu items (categories) which don’t have sub-categories nor sub-menu items but when any is clicked, list of unrelated categories show horizontally under the main-menu. How do I get rid of that?
Thank you once again for your great support.
Thanks. Issue resolved.
Thank you. All have been resolved except (5). I was referring to a comment box that says “Leave a comment” at the footer section of the Frontpage. If possible, give me an email address where I can send you a link for you to have a look.
Well noted. Thank you.
Thanks
