Hi
I checked the code and the author link is in the footer but is hidden. I do use yoast and I have removed the author visible tags (i foget how I did it, – is it a theme setitng?). But this link remains embedded in the footer but hidden.
This is the code.
<div class=”td-author-name vcard author” style=”display: none”><span class=”fn”>homeremedyhacks</span></div>
I have figured it out. Please ignore.
Thanks
I have solved this issue. It was due to heavy bot traffic that was cuasing errors in the crawlers.
yep, I’ve been trying to figure this out for ages. Works like a charm. Thanks for the code.
Thanks for the reply. I think you misunderstood. I am not using the speedbooster due to imcompatibility.
Its really a question about jquery.js and the background image. Any attempt to parse jquery using any sped plugin causing the backgroung image to break.
Is there any way of async the background image load independent of jquery?
all my posts have both a subcategory and a parent caetgory. But it always chooses the parent.
This must be coded somewhere and therefore changeable? thks
Ok, thanks. I’ve used the disabled speed booster and that broke the site. It didnt like some of my other plugins.
I’ve also tried lots of different optimisation plugins that move render blocking JS.
They all have the same problem and it seems to be concerning jquery.js
When this is parsed, the website loads SUPER quick. However, the only ‘breakage’ is that my background image does not load. I seem to have a choice between a slow site with background image or a super fast site on a white background.
Do you have any suggestions how I can parse jquery.js and still have a background image?
thanks
thanks. that worked
Hi, I figured out how to set the template locally but I have a new problem.
I am using the mobile plugin. When you view the post on mobile, it shows the featured image as before and then also the new image.
Is there anyway of editing the mob plugin so it doesnt show the fetured image?
thanks
how do I do this on a post by post basis and not set it up globally?
thanks
yep, activating the mobile plugin kills the sidebar in desktop posts.
btw, my max_input_vars is only set to 1000 in WP. I will increase this afternoon when the server support wake up
sorry, back again.
Clearing caches worked for a bit, but now the sidebar has disappeared again.
the website is http://www.homeremedyhacks.com
thanks. clearing all cashes seems to have worked again.
sorry, you misunderstand.
It is the desktop sidebar that disapears.
I am fine with no sidebar in mobile.
Hi, the plugin seems to work now for desktop after uninstalling all plugins and the reinstalling.
However, a new problem keeps happening.
Every time I switch on the mobile plugin, my widgets in the sidebar (two tagdiv ad spots and a post block) disappear.
I add them back and they dont save. The only way I can get my sidebar back is by disabling the mobile plugin.
I tried switching off all plugins/cache etc but cant get the sidebar to work alongside the mobile plugin.
Please help.
thanks
Hi, I updated the theme this morning, plugins and cleared caches including cloudflare.
Still seeing a mobile page for desktop
I really don’t want to upgrade the theme and so many things went wrong last time.
will not be easier to reinstall an old version of visual composer? If so, which version came with newspaper 7?
thanks
install newspaper 8? Can this not be done within wordpress?
I went from newspaper 4 to 6 and that caused all sorts of problem.
do you offer an upgrade sevrice?
p.s url is homeremedyhacks.com
ok thanks for this. Is it possible to have a mega menu just for the home page and category pages, and have non mega menu for posts?
can you point me in the right direction to add this functionality.
is it relatively simple to do and which php file do I look at?
Hi,
I have just seen this thread.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/taboola/
This helps alot. How do I know what post template is being used. thanks
thanks. fixed it
Hi, looking into this a bit more, I really need to know where the google analytics code gets added when you add it via the theme panel/analytics. And any other php files where I should look. I have never manually added the GA code, just used plugins and the theme panel so pointing in the direction of where to look would help. thanks
great thanks
