I found that the plugin “Restrict Author Posting” was causing the issue.

Thanks, but we already tried qtranslatex and it made a mess of our website.
It would be very interesting if you tested other popular translation plugins as many news sites need to be available in more than one language. Thank you.

I’ve read on this forum that wpml had issues with Newspaper though… Do you know anything?
Anybody using wpml or polylang could say anything about them?
