the ad and the image should be in a container floated to the left and the text should go around the container of the ad and image.

that arrow is from element.png sprite image (images/sprite/elements.png) , so to change the color of the arrow you need to change the arrow images in the elements.png.

to make the arrow appear all the time use this css:

there can be many reason why the social counter doesn’t work for you.

please disable all plugins and try to save again.
we have interconnected problems with the theme not being able to save because of the suhosin security. (http://www.hardened-php.net/suhosin/)

my advice is to download xampp (https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html) and do a clean wordpress and Newspaper theme install (no plugins) and see if it works.
