Hi Simon, I think this bit was the missing link I was looking for. Now it works. Thanks very much for your help! Have a great day!
In addition I just realized that the footer in the blog is corrupted as well. Here it does not seem to take the footer page into account at all.
Hi Simon, what you describe is exactly what I would have expected to happen. I went to my footer page and switched the language to german – than via the tagdivcomposer I translated everything and saved it. But when I go to the german page it still shows the complete content from the english footer page.
With any other page the translation worked.
Any other feedback on this one? Many thanks
Ok, thanks. Will try mine than and hope it will work for all.
PS: I changed the display view to M11 – no it looks better, but under M1 and M2 for example this issue remains more obvious.
Hope this helps
Thanks Edward, I use a the Safari browser and there I do have the issue that in the sample above the picture with the beach on it is much bigger than the others.
So maybe this only happens for some browsers?
Best
Ralf

Hi Catalin, once I provide my code it would be out of my control how long they use it. Would it be a better option if you provide one you can deactivate once the issue is resolved?
Hi Catalin, many thanks. The team is of the opinion that they need an activation code in order to test it. Can you please let me know if
a) this is the case or if the theme also works without
b) if it is required, can I provide mine without any penalties from your side
c) if not, is it possible to provide an activation code they can use for a certain period of time just until the issue is resolved. It would surely also help other customers.
Many thanks for your support

Hi Catalin, the team from GIVE would be willing to review it on their end, but they would need the .zip file in order to do so. Is it ok if I provide them with a copy?
Thanks for confirming
I have the problem with the GIVE Plugin. As soon as I switch it on the post settings disappear. Can you work with the guys from GIVE to resolve this?
.
How did you solve this problem? I am currently experiencing the same…
Many thanks! This solved the issue! Have a great day 🙂

Hi Bogdan,
unfortunately the site is not yet ready to be shared with the public. Can I send you a screen print via e-mail or alternatively what would be the correct pictures dimension to be used for the mobile menu background? Any picture I use results in the same issue so far.
Many thanks
Ralf
Additional info: I just found out that the order criteria only applies to the first sub-category. The category below the sub-category is sorted alphabetically – which does not make sense given the idea is to keep the category hierarchy.
Is the Newspaper 8.5 able to keep the full category hierarchy?
Sample:
Europe (main category) – Germany (sub-category of Europe) – Aachen (sub-category of Germany) –> this would be correct
Aachen – Europe – Germany –> this is what currently happens as only the first sub-category is sorted below the main category “Europe” and the sub-category below “Germany” (“Aachen”) is sorted alphabetically instead of below “Germany”
