I have no idea why yesterdays link now works… maybe because I switched back and forth between Custom and default template… I don’t know really, and no the article in question is not using the default template right now…

Only solution I see for now is to Downgrade the theme to a previous version and see if it’s resolving the issue…

I know it looked like cache, so Linkedin post debug is the first thing I tried, but no matter what, it doesn’t grab the featured image.

Unless I switch the same article to the DEFAULT POST TEMPLATE, then I go to linked in and try to post again, andf the image is correctly Grabbed.

If I switch back again to custom post, then the bug happens again…

So…?

Look, it’s 5 years I’m running 2 websites under NEWSPAPER for the Same company, and BOTHE SITES are presenting the same BUG since last update (prior 12.5.2)…

I tried to Update to the last version, 12.6.x but BUG IS STILL HERE.

Please believe me, warn your Dev team to double check this Post image Module un your Builder.

No not this time… usually yes, it’s often about update, active plugins after updating theme,

but here it literally removed all templates… header, footer, event the home page is not recognising some tb_blocks…

they’ve been wiped out …

even after DB restore from yesterday, when everything was right…

I’m gonna try to get the files backup to restore the old plugins as well, plus yesterday’s db…

any help from support is welcome !

Ok Problem Solved,

there where some category restriction by id’s (-25,-68) in flex block responsive settings, that are apparently not compatible when the Category of flex block is set to “current category” (to be able to load the correct articles, via this template page)

do you confirm the theory?

Question, the AMP and AMP mobile theme must be both installed to work properly ?

Or the theme is just an option ?

THE AMP theme is very standard, is it possible to customize it a bit with colors etc ?

Basically it’s just a page template for mobile, with very few elements, right ?

just to understand, what happenend exaclty ? old plugin files ?

Also, If I should install a cache plugin, which one would you recommend ?

Ok I see, but problem is that there’s a lot of Posts…
so to find out which one is using the template 3, they would need to go inside each article, to check it out and change the template to the custom one…

This is a ants work…

Is there a way, by a chance, to identify all posts with the Style template 3, in order to get a listing of the amount of articles to update ??

through the DB, or through wordpress “All posts” listing… maybe there is a trick to display only Posts with Style 3 template ?

yes i did find and followed that tutorial, but this is not my question.

– Question is about the default WP thumbnails settings ?? do we need those images sizes, is it supposed to be set like that by default ?

– or Do the settings of Newspaper images thumnails is taking over the WP media setting options ?

and another thing that i don’t understand is, it’s two times i’m running Regenerate thumbnails, and tired with force regenerate thumbnails as well, but when i go inside the “uploads” folder on the FTP, I don’t see any new dates on files on the server, nor new names or thumnails version.

also, seems that the plugins “regenerate thumbnails” VS “Force regenerate thumbnails” are not working the same way? do you confirm ?

that’s what I did, but still getting this bug content for that iPad mini / iPad version… the responsive view under tagdiv composer is ok, but not on the browser’s page url.

please check it live by using “Responsive view” to check ipad mini version
on your browser (mine is safari last version, osx)

I tried to regenerate thumbnails on the demo site, took 1h40 100%… but when i check in the uploads folder, nothing has changed ?!! no new images generated, no old ones deleted, still the old dates of files in the FTP…

I don’t understand… any clue ?

And the single loop (loop-single.php) by default is not in the plugin folder, it’s in the theme… but when I edit it, override it, but it doesn’t change…

Any clue ?

but when modifying and copying the files in the Child theme structure as follows
newspaper-child/parts/single/loop-single-1.php (and the single-template-1.php)
nothing changes…

so right now we Can’t modify the parts and use them in child theme, we must edit the plugin file, right ?

or use a cloud template..

OK seems to be ok after updating the TagDiv plugin… theme v 8.2 works ok.

I confirm : errors after update TO 8.2
it broke my HP display, changing Blocks display, and not recognizing Columns and Row Shortcodes > Sidebar disappears, … reverting to 8.1.1
