Sorry if I sounds too stupid. I am new with web development side.

As mentioned earlier, I already tried the theme on a subdomain and it works fine on it. Now, i have to get this running in its default state on my Actual website and every time i make a New install, its loading the old custom settings (Probably coz it loads previous settings from MySql).

I would appreciate it if you could advice me on the procedure required to ‘make an NEW install with another database and install my theme there’. Does it mean making a new instal on a different domain or sub domain? (if so, its been tried already and the theme works fine on a subdomain) What I am trying to achieve is have the theme running in its default settings on my existing domain which is acting weird.

I removed the old version of theme via FTP and made a fresh installation via FTP using the May 24th release. But every time I does a clean install, I still find my theme with all the previous customisations made to it. Can you clarify why this happens. I am trying to make a fresh installation with the themes default state hoping that it resolves all issues which might have occurred due to theme customisations made so far.

I don’t wanna miss out on the new blocks available in Newspaper 7 as it was long awaited for and I even made a feature request for that.

I have backed up the current version of the website, I wouldnt mind losing the theme customisations done until this point. How can I revert back to the default state of Newspaper theme without any customisations?

I installed it on a subdomain and it works fine. It seems to be geting into trouble only on my main domain with customisation. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me on how I could instal it in the default state without any customisations. Also, is it possible to save a copy of the customisations so that i could use later if i regret.

Updated the theme via FTP as suggested, but it doesn’t seems to help. Also, I am using Visual Composer 4.11.2. Cleared the cache as well.

Update ! Works now after clearing cache although got issues editing some pages.

Just updated to Visual Composer V 4.11.2, but same story with chrome. Only works on Firefox.

It was resolved after re installing the theme with latest version from Envato but the problem seems to have surfaced again (in Chrome). Works fine on firefox

PS: I deleted the old version through FTP and updated the theme via WordPress using theme file downloaded from envato released last day.

My previous WP update was made from the WP dashboard welcome screen and I assume that wouldn’t be a test version. I made a fresh instal of the theme deleting old version via ftp. Do i still have to update the visual composer manually or does it include the latest version of the plugin?

Although the issue seemed to have resolved yesterday after the update, its reiterating again. I use google chrome as my default browser. Checked with firefox and it works fine on there. Is there any other way to fix this once and all for chrome ?

I found that it’s working fine on WP Default theme Twenty Sixteen, but not on Newspaper. However updating Newspaper to the latest version that I just received today seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for your support and the new release.

Did as suggested and even removed the newspaper theme and did a fresh instal. Still doesn’t help.

I am not a coder but I could try editing the CSS style sheet through FTP if that helps.

I deleted my old newspaper folder via FTP and I got it successfully updated using new theme file from my themeforest account. The issues regarding pagination on home page and an awkward alignment of logo on header got fixed already.

Still trying to figure out a way to get rid of the drop shadow. Re entered the code into custom code area but its of no effect.

I am running into this error while trying to update the theme.
My theme is also giving some other issues at the moment (like the pagination on my home page doesnt work anymore)

How do I make a fresh installation of the updated theme Without loosing all the plugins, design and layout setup i currently have.

I also noticed that the hover highlight for the menu links disappear when I add these codes. Is there any other area where i have to add the !important tag or does it work if i simply replace the existing code (as seen in my screenshot of custom css panel) with the new code ?

I tried the custom CSS in theme panel custom css are but unfortunately, it doesnt make any difference.
is there anything else that might help with this ?

I do understand the limitations in assisting on custom work. Thanks for your guidance despite too many requests.

Looks like I have different version of Woocommerce or is there something I have to activate from Visual composer to get access to role manager settings?

I still find woocommerce elements in my visual composer and I was able to add products to the page. I was only missing out on the titles for these blocks which I had to add manually.

I think its an ideal layout for someone just starting out their website and doesn’t have a lot of content to showcase. It would indeed be much appreciated if you could include it in a future update as it provides more flexibility in presenting the content.

Thanks Catalin, for your assistance. I think thats serves the purpose for time being. But I would love the flexibility in using that module inside a page using visual composer. That way I could have more than one of those modules assigned for different category listing in same page. Also it could let me place ads in between these modules or articles.
