I just deleted this piece of code from the template and the ad has disappeared:
https://www.screencast.com/t/D7M3vNeykm
Doesn’t this prove that it is not cache-related and a bug in the template?????
The ads are directly in the code… what’s this got to do with clearing cache? when I removed the code the ad disappeared instantly on refresh.
Sorry to be frank here but can you fix this ASAP to get these horrific placeholders off my site or guide me on how to do this myself as soon as feasibly possible? Using my own site to promote Tagdiv after the amount of time and frustration this has caused is just adding insult to injury.
One more point – I understand the cache purge at the host is done by FTP or SSH but clearly wordpress supports neither of these – the cache solution on the Newspaper forum is to use WP Super Cache which is no longer downloadable as it is incompatible on the plugins site. Hence I would appreciate being told what to do here as I have no idea what else I can try to get rid of these tagdiv ads.
Although I appreciate the ongoing help I’m not really sure what this means:
“you can make a test disable all cache you have on your website and check again”
How do I do this? I don’t have any cache plugins and I cleared my chrome cache for sure because I had to log back into all my accounts, also given I’m browsing from incognito which has no local cache doesnt this prove its not a caching issue?
Hey man actually I just tried to look at the site from my phone and it had tagdix ads on it – I went to check the view from incognito view and indeed there still appears to be a tagdiv ad at the bottom of this page. https://thescreamingvoid.co.uk/
Take a look please.
Cache clear worked thank you!
I tried to edit the title of the advert and it reflected on the site so the code is editable and clearly somewhere embedded in the overall homepage…. I could probably directly delete this ad from the raw code but this to be quite frank this is way beyond my jurisdiction. Can someone please pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help fix this.
hi!!!!
I found some raw code before you go into the tagdiv composer that has the word “advertisement”. So perhaps there is something there but obviously doesnt show up in the composer. I reinstalled all the plugins and it hasnt helped to show them. Can someone please help my urgently.
Hey man can you advise if you found a better alternative anywhere for a newspaper style theme? I’ve been using for about a week and the bugs are making me throw in the towel.
Hi – I really would like to stop displaying tagdiv ads on my website…. please.
Here is a video of me in my composer showing I have no ad boxes to select:

Please please please please tell me what I can do to get them off my site.
Hey Anamaria – thanks but this video presumes I have an actual box to click. There are no ad boxes in my composer!!! They only appear on the website when I’m not logged into wordpress or using an incognito window. Is there some alternate view I need to click to get the boxes to appear for non logged in users?

Thanks, as above – I have nothing like that in the editor/composer.
Hey Anamaria thank you for replying – it’s just tagdiv adverts. I don’t see these in the editor often but if I check the website on my phone or in an incognito window they show up all over the place!
Not sure how to post screenshots here but it’s the same advert all the time – a picture of canvas shoes that I see in my nightmares now and it says NEWSPAPER WodrPress Theme OFFER FROM TAGDIV Please for the love of god tell me how to get rid of these.
Hi Anamaria I just want to say this was very helpful thank you :3
What use are these forums if the solutions arent posted? I need the exact same thing.
Hey was there a fix for this? I’m using newspaper 11 but the tagdiv advert still show up even after disabling in the theme panel
dude I have the exact same problem why am I getting these horrible tagdiv adverts even after I disabled everything.
I figured it out I think – have to go to the cloud templates and edit the single post page using the tagdiv editor. THANKS FOR THE FUNCTIONALITY!!!
