I experience now problems with the media library. Uploaded images do not appear correctly.
I can’t even update the theme correctly. It can’t be installed due to however some errors. Other parts of the update were correctly installed, but not the newspaper theme? I actually don’t understand the error.
We created a landing page now for the podcast content: https://sherides.de/podcast/ There we let the community know that the podcast can be found almost everywhere and ask them to follow.
Also we create a post for each podcast and just embed the spotify podcast, like we would do with a youtube video. Ok, yes, there is no podcast in the featured image now, but at least you can listen to it on the website.
The feature requested would still be great.
CCS issues solved. page is displayed correctly. We still don’t know where it came from. But since we set back php version from 8.0 to 7.4 we were able to reload css and create a correct mobile page. probably the theme/composer has some issues there?
Another thing is, we tried to set up a caching plugin after we recreated all pages and from our side we seemed to ready to publish. But, all plugins seem to create issues. We tried it with the recommended WP Super Cache plugin, but an interesting error is, that on desktop the home page showed up on desktop in mobile version. happened to us due to the fact we use both devices. After turning of caching plugin, the error is gone and everything is loading correctly.
Have you heard about an issue like that before? Any recommendations for caching? We would like to use it since the page is loading already pretty lame.
FYI: We exactly set up the plugin as you recommended it in your forum blog post.
No Screenshot upload possible, page down. Thanks.
Don’t tell, there is no bug with composer.
I just adjusted a text snippet as usual, now the page is a mess : https://sherides.de/ueber-uns/
Plus, the social icons on this page do not appear in all browsers, some see Chinese letters others just weird icons which have nothing to do with the social network linked behind. There is something wrong. And we can’t find it. Everyone tells me its something in composer/Css whatever.
Its obviously NOT ok, the header isn’t the correct mobile one (mobile logo needs to be different e.g. like here: https://sherides.de/unsere-partner/). It shows burger, but no content in the menu, so no links. I CANT create a dedicated mobile version as I did via composer with all other pages. Usually I were able to create mobile page of the regular page, than I was able to adjust logo and add the top navigation to the burger menu. As you can see it’s NOT there. So WHY doesn’t it work with this page?
We found some weird workarounds for most things. maybe not perfect, but works. Final big problem: https://sherides.de/ueber-uns/ This page doesn’t show mobile head. Since I need to create a dedicated mobile page for each page, I thought I just do it here too. Fun fact which isn’t fun: It doesn’t work. Instead of creating mobile page copying the content as usual, it just copies the content to a page called “mobile” which isn’t mobile. I need to fix this asap, but have no idea how.
I don’t know what’s going on, but two pages I could fix. The “About Us” page still can’t be adjusted to a mobile version. Also the color adjustment option with color palette in composer comes and goes. page: sherides.de
Is it normal that with this theme you need to do many adjustments in terms of page speed. At the moment it’s horrible what Page Speed Insights show to us.
I created a few days ago mobile pages with adjusted elements and header/footer sections. As I wanted to create the last few pages (imprint, about us, …) it didn’t work anymore and I received an e-mail that tagdiv composer shows massive errors. I can’t find a dedicated description about the error. The only thing I experience that if I use tag div composer and want to create mobile pages, it basically just copies the page, names it e.g. home – mobile, but the regular page doesn’t refer to it as mobile page and the header/footer isn’t adjusted at it usually has been used to do. Also if I want to change e.g. overlay colors I can’t choose colors from a color palette as usual. It just shows an empty field.
Thank you for taking it in consideration. It would be awesome if we could use the feature with e.g. Spotify links.
The feature is already there. See “Featured audio” it’s basically like “featured video”, but it only works at the moment with SoundCloud. If you don’t host there, you can’t use. While Video works with the most common platforms just like YouTube and Vimeo. We don’t need a plugin. We can embed each podcast regularly. But we would love to feature it as we do with video.
At the moment you only offer featured audio via SoundCloud. Compared to featured video option, where you offer multiple player links just as youtube and Vimeo, only SoundCloud for audio is a little less. This is a paid service, don’t think every podcaster will use it. We host with Anchor.fm, are actually on every single available platform listed you don’t need to pay for. Are there any plans to add other options next to SoundCloud? We would love to create featured audio posts in the future.
Thank you, we already found the correct button đ
I have a similar issue. I wanted to add a custom background image to make head and footer look the same. It works well replacing the header background by creating an image same size as delivered with the template. But for the footer there was no background image delivered I could basically replace by adding an image with the same size. So what happens now when I add the custom image:
Because the row is set on “stretch off” the image appears in footer background like I zoomed in. If I set it back on “default” the background image doesn’t cover the whole area. Which size and/or settings do I need to fix this problem?
This post explains how to add the feature to your page. What if I want to delete/stop the infinite loading which is already part of the template?
