Thanks for the Input Edward. I’ll check this out. But these are actually cosmetic edits. Before this theme update, I had a template from tagdiv that I uploaded on my root directory that made me add a page layout like this. Isn’t this possible in Newspaper 8?

I’ve deactivated mobile plugin, but it’s still loading it?

Does disabling this mobile theme plugin dramatically changes the theme code? During the theme update, I had a disastrous shake in my SERPs rankings. About disabling all other plugins, I will try it, however, I have all essential plugins installed. So, this would not be possible. Can you please take a look into the theme code on my site?

Should I just uninstall mobile theme plugin? All this stuff seems complicated. By the way, the two of the pages I shared with you are now loading correctly (can you please check from your end as well). But there are still some problem pages. I can’t figure out what’s happening.

Does it mean I’ll never be able to use this feature if I want my site to function properly?

This didn’t help. PLEASE check solve this problem for me ASAP. I’m losing a lot of visitors because of this.

So far, theme is appears to be working fine on IE, and mobile chrome browser. But on desktom chrome and also on firefox, no images in my posts are visible.

PLEASE HELP ASAP.

Also, the sticky sidebar widget (last ad block at the bottom of sidebar) isn’t getting stuck. Why could it happen?

Updated to 6.5. Run the update script. Regenerated thumbnails. No images on site (including thumbnails, blog post images, everything).

What could be the issue?

I’ve requested the last version of newspaper 6 which had update script.

So, is this how I should go after this:

1. Delete old theme.
2. Install this version of newspaper 6
3. Run update script (to get my settings back)
4. And then again update that particular version to the latest one

Am I going right guys?

So, this how I am going to do:

1. Backup the complete database.
2. Download latest theme file.
3. Deactivate and delete the old file.
4. Install and activate the new theme file.
5. Run the update script to import old settings.

I’m just not sure about the update script, do I have to run before or after deleting the old theme?
And, will this update script include all my settings? Like the fonts, color schemes, sidebars and other stuff?

How do I empty cache or purge files?

I’ve checked it by deactivating all plugins but the issue still persists.

I haven’t checked by deactivating cloudflare plugin, which I use for their free CDN. I’m afraid that my site will lose connectivity if I disable this.

Can the tagdiv support team add a landing page template?

The child theme option seems promising, but it’s so complicated and I’ve never touched a thing like that before. :/

Why don’t don’t newspaper have such a template? It should be added.

I desperately need to add a clear landing page to my site in the next couple of days. :/
