Christopher is a long time WordPress user. Anything else you need to know is private ;-) I *do not* work for TagDiv, but I've been using their themes since late 2013.

Can’t you just turn off the minification? I don’t use W3 Total Cache — so no help from me on that, sadly.

Categories are managed by WordPress, so good idea to read through the WP manual on wordpress.org if new to managing a WP site. If not new to WP, pardon t he presumption 🙂

a) see > wp admin > posts > categories — to add/change/remove categories

b) see > wp admin > appearance > menus — to add/change/remove menu items

Sorry that isn’t super detailed answer, but maybe enough to get started! 🙂

Your host may have been blocked by wordpress.org, or perhaps the WordPress.org site was temporarily down.

Note that the theme has no control over things like installing plugins from WordPress.org, or loading a YouTube video in your post page.

It’s possible your web host might have been having issues, updating DNS, etc.

See if problem persists.
a) switch back to default theme
b) check with your web host

Generally you should only have one H1 on a page.
You can override the CSS simply by adding a class to the theme panel custom CSS box.

All “H” classes normally add padding after as they are headings. But you could change that either globally, or create new custom class for some use.

TagDiv likely have better answer Monday.

Tip: good to get used to using console/F12 in Chrome to “target” specific blocks and see what they are, as you can often then micro-target just the one CSS class to over-ride without messing up things like h2 used on category pages, etc.

You can use an ad manager plugin to rotate different ad units in the header. Many of us use “AdRotate” – so worth looking at that.

simchris

Make sure you have the Visual Composer plugin active.

simchris

Don’t use any Javascript minification as it doesn’t work well on the fly with ANY theme.

The script used to show up in the admin panel as shown in the screen shot on the upgrade page linked to. Check the main welcome page for NP6 to see if it’s still there (they might have removed it from the “latest” version … dunno …).

That’s what I do 🙂

Newspaper for “wide wide” and newsmag for the more magazine-ish stuff.

simchris

Hi, I misunderstood this:
I want to a reply/answer to comment. thank you for comment” etc.. How can i do it?
Sorry.

TagDiv back on Monday.

simchris

I don’t think the theme supports a “full width” option; that’s basically what their Newspaper theme is for. You can make the top/bottom menu stuff full width, but content is boxed, although you can remove the keylines.

This is managed as part of WooCommerce, typically, not the theme.

So often to customize WooCommerce you either need to use a plugin, or use a “filter hook” which you put in the functions file to over-ride the default behavior of WooCommerce.

For all things WooCommerce, you should review the official docs on the Woo website… eg..

https://docs.woothemes.com/document/change-add-to-cart-button-text/

To really manage Woo customizations you will need to at some point add custom code to the functions.php file for theme –or– use a plugin that hacks this for you.

You can answer comments from the admin panel > commments

as to why there is no feedback on submitting a comment, TagDiv will have to answer that one!

simchris

Better to leave it as plugin vs built-in support for now, due to likely changes after it starts to roll out.

For an example in action … see:

Did you
a) clear your caching/reset CDN after theme change, if applicable?
b) did you increase your default memory via php.ini and wp-config.php ?
c) try turning off conflicting plugins except for visual composer and yoast seo?

What “demo” of the theme are you using ? Did you buy the theme or are you using a pirate copy from website? I suppose you are using one of the “style demo” to test site layout and not a real live website.

Your site seems to be working just fine:

Perhaps share your ad code here and just ### your account ID/campaign ###.

simchris
tagDiv Member

Then the code is bad, your site wasn’t allowed or has been removed for bad content/warned about ad usage (check your adsense account for “messages”!), you have conflicting plugin, etc.

Likely good to go back to your AdSense account get the working code, make sure you’re only inserting the provided block of <script></script> from Google.

Don’t use third party plugin as that won’t help if the code itself doesn’t work.

It already works with AMP right now. We’re setup for it and have been since November.

Simply get the AMP beta plugin for WordPress developed by Automattic (the folks who make WordPress), install, activate and you’re good to go. This is same plugin they are using for their “VIP” clients (e.g., TIME, etc.).

Be aware it’s still all a beta process. Google will supposeduly only start rolling out some limited support starting in Feb. as they begin to phase out support for mod_SPDY and also start migrating to more support for http/2. A lot of changes this year, including all the algorithm changes they are doing “right now” this month in SERPS related to brand names and mis-use of those on junk blogs to trick search engines.

Theme works well on mobile — we use it every day on our mobile devices.

a) try disabling lazy load option
b) disable any “mobile” plugins or jetpack mobile setting (up to YOU to manage conflicts with other mobile tech conflicting with theme built-in mobile CSS)
c) try turning off plugins except for Visual Composer.
d) clear cache/ reset CDN.

One of those the usual culprit!

simchris

Likely good to double check the adsense code you are actually using works.

Try placing it in a simple text box widget in sidebar to see if the code is even accurate?

simchris
tagDiv Member

Normally you would put your adsense code in the theme panel for top of page ad section – see theme docs.

To manually put a block of code on page, you can put that in the header.php file after opening body tag. Only put the script part… not the whole block of text you have in your example — that is entire standalone webpage.

simchris
tagDiv Member

The admin bar is usually turned on/off from the user panel.

Since the theme does not update itself, changes normally only happen if you update/install a bad plugin.

Usually checking the page with console/F12 will show any java errors.

simchris
tagDiv Member

YOu can either change the text from the theme panel under fonts, or you can apply custom CSS to the element using the custom CSS panel in the theme panel.

Somebody else will likely have better answer. 🙂

simchris

Oh … wait, and may I say “yikes”….

I just went to do (1) support extension, and because I have multiple licenses, it wants to charge me for extended support for *ALL* licenses (!). So, in this instance it WOULD be cheaper for me to just buy one new license when the other support periods expire. Doh. So, not sure I want to do $80/year to renew ONE support license (in my case I give more support than I get … so, okay … this will be interesting!).

Obviously not well thought out there for developers, on TF’s part.

Add my voice to the “sheesh!” party on this issue now. I have one month of “support” remaining on my original batch of licenses. Doom may ensue! 🙂

I thought this was pretty straightforward …

Extend support to 12 months $17.70

so that adds 6 months added support.

Presumably at end of the 12 month period there would be option to AGAIN extend support, which at that rate would be roughly $35/year, which is very affordable if you only need support even once, or get a updated version due to changes in WordPress/security issues, etc.

Obviously it would be nice for TF to just say “get another 12 months from “right now” for $XXX” ….

For us, we’re just going ahead and buying the extended support option to help TagDiv get paid 🙂
