Christopher is a long time WordPress user. Anything else you need to know is private ;-) I *do not* work for TagDiv, but I've been using their themes since late 2013.

I think it’s only licensed for use with the TagDiv themes.

There are some other very similar ones out there, though.

@doucare1971

note people do change the name of the theme. I do this. They may have changed the directory/theme name.

(put another way; rename your homepage static page — it won’t lose settings — then reset the static page from the wp admin panel to that new name in the drop down …)

See my other note in your search issue thread …

check to see if you have a category setup as /home/ as that would conflict with a page called ‘home’ — or possibly change your ‘home’ page template for theme to what I do, I name it something like “homepager” … then set that as the static page.

Using “home” might be the prob. 🙂

Might be related to your permalink issue; if your main website is redirecting to a “category” called /home/ vs the index.php file … might be related to issues with how you’re using categories.

If you have a /home/ category you might remove that, as that would take precedence over a static page called ‘home’ …

If your home page does not resolve right, then it’s fair to assume other stuff won’t either. So likely if you fix THAT first, other stuff will resolve. 🙂

Dunno. Link might help ?

I use the “thumbnail upscale” plugin (free) ! 🙂

Sounds like you have some caching issues, and/or you need to reset the template used as static home page; double check your htaccess file, resave permalinks, etc.

Theme does not control location of your “home” page, that is usually from a permalink setting.

You need to regenerate thumbnails to fit theme sizes, and ideally use an optimization methodology either via functions.php setting for compression level, or plug like smushit.

Likely fixing the permalink structure, caching, and checking your htaccess file for leftovers from old theme(s), would be first check on not being able to preview.

Remember to disable all plugins from old theme!

Test your page with gtmetrix.com to see areas needing improvement.

Probably footer file.

You have to fully update the child theme as well, which will over-ride changes. You will need to re-apply all changes to *new* child theme. This is major theme update/UPGRADE — like a NEW theme — not a dot revision.

Content (posts/pages) not impacted by change as those are in your dbase, not in the theme.

“Layouts” and customizations, menus, sidebars will need to be reset/refreshed.

Awesome!
Sorry for the whacko multiple post of my reply … was using my iPad, and it had some weird hiccups as I was using another browser other than Safari for testing my site and that browser doesn’t play well with the forum (buttons randomly don’t work, and I hit the button multiple times trying to get it to work, and somehow that put multiple posts in the forum).

I wasn’t trying to “hit home” on any point there, in case you were wondering 🙂

I think it’s in the theme panel under > post settings
you can turn on/off all the options appearing on each “post”

I think his link is still there in his reply ?

You might want to put in support ticket at Envato, since they manage the downloads. You also should not post such links here as it may be encoded with your license info.

Heh. If gtmetrix times out that is really bad, and might be first thing to check with your cdn. Try turning off all the plugins except vc, then solve that problem first. Turn off lazy load feature.

Go through my sticky post at top of forum, and be aware of stuff like upping default wp memory, expiration headers, default image optimization level, functions.php fixes, remove as much external stuff as possible like gravatars, limit ad spots, dont use google fonts, etc.
