Changing thumbnail size shown on front page - reply

Is there a way to change the default thumbnail size by modifying one of the theme files? Currently, I’m using module 1 which I’ve noticed displays thumbnails in 324 x 160. I used to create thumbnails that were 324 x 198 and I don’t want to remake the thumbnails for the Newspaper theme.

Which file do I modify if this is possible?

To clarify, the VC Ultimate Addons Row Backgrounds works on other themes. I was wondering why it’s not working on Newspaper 8.

Is it something in the theme files that prevents background changes to be made by third party plugins?

Okay, so I set the theme settings as default and uninstalled all the themes as well but it doesn’t solve anything. I don’t have any custom CSS either.

This was actually after installing the News Magazine demo. Is that supposed to happen?
