Hi Catalin, If I want to keep the border around the header, can I do a work-around for the image, by reducing the size of the header image by 2px x 2px? To offset the extra 2px x 2px that the border created?

Thank you.

Hi Catalin, You are the BEST! My highest praise for your technical support! Getting such good responses and turn-round for my technical support questions has been extremely valuable. Thanks again. Best regards, Steve

Hi – Thank you for the reply. These two problems are resolved, thanks to your suggestions. But I also have 3 other questions “while I have you,” listed below.

1) Home page – resolved. There is a header with a top menu and a main menu. Those are OK now. But you might want to know that I made the 4.9 update, the page layout changed and it made some of the items in those menus disappeared. I was able to restore them using the tagDiv editor.

2) The Blog page – resolved. Thanks to the suggestions that you made in your reply, I was able to fix the problem I was having. In the WordPress console > Settings > Reading, I set “Your homepage displays > static page” with Homepage = Home, and Posts page = none ( – select – ). All of the intended appearance and content has returned.

Questions, please:

1) How do I reduce the size of the font for the main menu?

2) Customizing the footer: Please See https://piracymonitor.org. There is a three-column footer. My company information is in the left column, which is OK. For the center column, I can’t find any controls to allow me to “filter” the list of categories for the posts that I expose. In the right column, I want the ‘categories’ list, but again, I can’t figure out how to establish a filter to expose only certain categories. I could not find instructions for this in the online documentation.

3) Footer behavior: Again see https://piracymonitor.org If you click on (any) of the categories listed in the right column of the footer, you are presented with another page (I will call it a “landing page”) that looks like this: https://ibb.co/H7FwSbk …which contains many different blocks and modules. I did not create this landing page – it just “appears” when you click a category. I would like to control the appearance/layout of this landing page so that 1) it shows ONLY the posts that correspond with that category, in a Block 8 or Block 15 format, and no other content, 2) control the number of posts that appears on that landing page, and 3) with no color gradient in the thumbnail images.

Thank you! I appreciate all the help!

Best regards,
– Steve

One more comment – if you go to https://piracymonitor.org/blog, the sidebar to the right also contains several types of content that I did not put there.

D’OH! Thank you – I did not think of that and the online documentation did not provide that detail (I suggest that tagDiv should explain it in the documentation).

Since those other fields already had the # in them, I thought they were the tagDiv theme defaults.

Again thanks!

Edit to the above post: The Twitter, LinkedIn and Email icons are now correctly associated with those accounts. But still, how do I make the Facebook, Vimeo, VKontakte and YouTube icons go away?

Thanks

Hi – Thanks for the reply. In the Newsmag > Theme Panel > Social Networks panel, I filled in the links only for LinkedIn, Twitter, and email. Like this: https://ibb.co/xFB4jGf

Still, several icons appeared that I don’t want, and no ‘mail’ icon appears. See: https://ibb.co/x29PNbt

I see no obvious way to do what I want to do… Can you please explain how I make only those three appear, and none of the others? Thanks

Yes! Works great. Thanks so much!

Thank you! I looked inside of (mysite) > wp-content > themes > newsmag > includes > modules > (and there is a long list of td_module_xx.php items)…

…but there is no single item called ‘td_module.php’ in the list.

Take a look… Which item should I edit? I want to be able to click any individual blog article so it appears in a separate window. I do not want this behavior for site pages. Just for individual articles, so if I click on the title of the article, the entire article appears in a new window.

Is there one place to put target=”_blank” that will work that way?

Thanks.

That did it! I also see that a hex value will work. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

.td_module_10.td_module_wrap:hover .entry-title a{color:#840f00!important;}

One more question: how do I set the NON-hover color? In the CSS code line, what word is used in place of the word “hover”? Thanks

.td_module_10.td_module_wrap:hover .entry-title a{color:#840f00!important;}

Hi – The Block 11 element does not have a hover setting!

Hi Catalin, Thanks for the reply. I want the footer content from the Theme Panel to appear in column 1 of the footer. Then, I want other blocks to appear in column 2 and column 3. In your example, you added a “Block 1” block in the Footer 1 widget, and that block appears below the footer from the Theme Panel in column 1 – not to the right of it in column 2.

So I tried work-arounds. First, I left the Footer 1 widget empty, and then put the other blocks into Footer 2 and Footer 3 – but it didn’t work that way. So next, I put a ‘Custom HTML’ widget into Footer 1 with the color to be #222222. But I could not figure out how to make an empty row that is not white. Can you please reply with a snippet <div> (code) </div> that will insert an empty row with the color #222222 ?

Also, I don’t understand about using CSS code to change the font-family. Can you please provide an example, and tell me where to place it? Thanks.

Hi – Thanks. I have made it through the steps of your reply. I see nothing like you show in your Step 6 What did you do to achieve that?

How do I add a widget to the right sidebar that is not a TagDiv widget?
