@Bogdan – That’s the same response that I received many times when i raised a question on shortcodes. Not only this question for many other question i was told the same thing and till now the features are not implemented. One thing that I want to mention here, I have seen few theme authors who create something called future updates page and there is voting option available for users. With this the users can post their feature required and others can vote if they want the same feature to be seen in the theme. Once it’s voted by many people, it will be implemented in the theme. In your case, we don’t even know what’s on your update list, there is no transparency on what is coming up in next update. I have asked this question many times but you have a standard answer template ready. As a buyer/theme user if i get to know what is coming up in next update, it would be really exciting. I just want to suggest few things to improve the theme but it’s not heard at all.

@Chris
– Thank you so much. Looks like I have to find another way to fulfill my shortcode requirement.

Yep.. I see “This item is no longer available”.

The whole idea is to move away from VC shortcodes and use something that loads the post faster. From my end I am looking to Tinymce shortcodes.

Most themes are no longer adding excessive shortcodes” – Wrong answer. Check any of the top themes in themeforest and you will find the shortcodes that they add. Yes I understand that when i switch theme, my shortcodes are not rendered. However I am requesting the theme authors to add few shortcodes in tinymce editor or in theme. I am not asking for 100+ shortcodes, it’s just only few like proper buttons, icon lists etc.

Hi, is this going to be fixed in the coming update ?.

Hi Bogdan, currently I am using only 1 inline ad (because we can adjust the position of ad with this option). Along with that I am using 2 sidebar ads. These ads are visible only for desktop users and hidden while browsing via mobile. Yes I have used the same options that you marked in the above screenshot.

“I would recommend not to use any ad on above the fold for mobile devices.” – This is what I was talking about. If i display above content ad and below content the ads are shown fine on desktop but google says the ad should be after the content. Secondly on mobile they either show up as big square box or take too long space.

Why should i use any other plugin when the theme has got it’s ads system. I believe the theme author should add options to display inline ads after let’s say some number of paragraphs. Let me repeat inline ad code works fine both in desktop and mobile devices.

Sidebar ads are responsive but not the ads on top content and below content. Yes i am using responsive adsense code provided by google. Can you tell me your website link ?.

Yes, even i got this message. here is the thread that i posted – https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/adsense/quoFGFBxI-U/hjKdi7SXCAAJ

In newspaper only inline content ad is mobile responsive. And the big limitation is we can have only one inline ad. There is no option provided by theme author to add more inline ads (after paragraph 3, 6, 8 etc). If you show the ads above and below content, the banner ads work fine in desktop view. But in mobile they take lot of space. Sometimes I get a big ad box in mobile if i place the banner ad. I was about to raise a support ticket and I saw your question.

@newspaper
team – Can you fix this in next update ?.

okay i read that link and it says “Visual Composer is working only on Pages and will help you to create amazing and unique layouts“. Now i am confused what shortcodes should i use in my posts. On several posts i have the requirement to create a message box, accordion, icon box etc. But you are saying vc shortcodes should be used only in pages.

techpaced

You will have to use visual composer to add such elements, but only for pages. We do not recommend using visual composer on posts.” – Hi, I am still thinking on the comment that you made. Why should i not use vc shortcodes in my posts ?. For example can’t i use a VC message box in my post to provide a specific info. Just confused with your reply 🙂

It would be great if you add essential shortcodes in mce editor.

techpaced

That’s a strange answer. How about using a button, message/alert box inside a post ?. If i want a user to provide a download link inside my post what should i use ?. If I want to add a accordion or any other shortcode inside post then what should i use ?

For me upgrade worked very smoothly. Here are the steps that i followed.

1) I copied the newspaper zip theme via ftp to the my themes folder.
2) Activated another theme.
3) Deleted old newspaper theme from FTP console (filezilla).
4) Extracted the new theme zip file.
5) Activated the new theme from Themes panel.
6) Deactivated Visual composer > deleted > uploaded new VC plugin and activated it back.
