An issue with the forums has come up. The theme seems to be stopping the bbpress forums from displaying in “Topics by Freshness” When I choose this option in Forum settings nothing changes.

Solved 🙂

The only way I got matched content to work was by placing the actual adsense code within the template. I did try the short codes but the same issue came up. So the issue is related to the theme and the coding. Hope it can be resolved in the future. Thanks for all the support.

Thanks, I will implement the shortcode by editing the template. Will Newspaper test the matched content in the future as it is very important?

Also, the css code provided above to make the header ad center doesn’t work on mobile, how to fix this?

Ok the header ad is solved and really is a shame only one code can be used. I don’t have a way of adding anything else unless I use a plugin which will slow the site down.

Ads really are strange on this theme and now I’ve noticed that Adsense matched content works fine when adding the code through composer or somewhere on a page manually but if I add the code through the Newspaper theme settings on footer or in Bottom post ad spot it doesn’t display correctly. Something is wrong with this as seen in the photo below where in footer it doesn’t display correctly but in composer and manual input is fine.

Thanks Simion. Is there also a way to center the ad and not make it full width? The ad sometimes changes small and displays on the left instead of the center.

I also can’t add more than one code in the “article bottom ad” section. I would like to add a google matched content and one more ad but not working or displaying correctly.

I solved it thanks so much. I do have another issue though so hope it’s ok adding it in this thread.

I’m using the “Gadgets” demo settings but by using this the header ad doesn’t function even if the code is in the header ad section in the theme settings. How to solve this? My site is https://www.cruisehive.com

Update has been released from VP, should we update from theirs or wait for tagdiv update?

It seems to be coming from the facebook embed which i included in the post, worked fine after i removed it! Something you may want to test in a future release.

After checking all the buttons none of them are picking up any data from the page!

I’ve been using it but there are some issues with it.

if you go to http://www.cruisehive.com/po-britannia-coming-along/5039 as you can see the sharify buttons are not displaying correctly but if you go to a post using a different template like http://www.cruisehive.com/voyager-seas-month-long-revitalization-now-complete/5074 then it looks fine!

Another issue is Pinterest doesn’t pick up the posts image or title. This issue is site wide.

Do you have a fix for these issues?

I think bringing in messenger app sharing options would make Newspaper very unique and a good option to potential buyers 🙂

I really don’t like the new theme, it’s so narrow. Looks like a web site from several years ago! A full width footer and main menu would be nice.

lol a teaser is so you don’t get to see too much, just makes us want to know more!

Totally agree on styling, the features are really good and the way it’s all been done but i’ve had to custom css the theme like crazy because it was a little dull. But also that can be good so folks like me still have an option to make it the way we want without messing up any of the styles.

Some areas which need work are the bbpress forums and the share buttons. By the way has anyone seen the new slider on the Mashable site? Its so cool wouldn’t mind having something like that!

I guessed you didnt use w3 cache. I’ve just improved my score up to 85 and thats with buddypress, bbpress, disqus and a load of others! Used w3 cache, speed booster pack and leverage browser caching ninja. Also use cloudflare. Made some changes to .htaccess too. But dont think i should spend any more time on speeding up as I will buy the new theme once it’s out.

Does anyone know how to speed up the following under leverage browser caching?
