We have the same issue
Newspaper 7.2
Social counter 4.1

Instagram followers are 0 in the widget

OKay – fixed the issue.

The theme was blocking the visual editor – a setting in the ‘users’ tab. This was unticked for users but still was blocked.

We created a new user and then the tabs started showing. So we will reset all of our users now.

Okay this is what we have done:

Visual Composer (4.11.2) – updated – uninstalled any old versions
Latest Theme (newspaper 7) – clean install
Cleared cache
removed tinyMCE
Updated to WP 4.5.2

Have pushed the site to staging to test these updates

Also now with these updates – the TagFDiv social counter is broken.

any other ideas to get these now 2 issues fixed?
