Hi Bettina

Thanks for your reply but I don’t understand what you are telling me?

What do I need to do to make sure Google doesn’t flag my pages as issues regarding text size being too small and clickable items being too close together?

Isn’t the mobile theme compatible with Google?

Thanks
Sarah

Hi Guys

I am revisiting this request as I need some further support, please.

The advice above is great, and I’ve added my banner image to each of my blog posts at the bottom of each blog (on desktop at the moment). You can see an example here:

https://www.tinystepsbabyclub.co.uk/pregnancy-signs-and-symptoms/

BUT….i need the blog reader to be able to click on the image banner (my ad) and be directed to my store URL (away from my blog). I have the gallery custom link plugin installed, which allows me to add a URL to an image in my media gallery. I’ve done this, but the URL associated to the banner is the destination URL in my WordPress gallery, obviously.

How can I have the reader be able to click through the image to my desired URL (www.tinystepskids.co.uk)?

Here is the code I have used to place the ad banner on my blog page footer:

<div class=”td-all-devices”><image src=”https://www.tinystepsbabyclub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/tiny_steps_kids_banner_for_baby_club.jpg”/&gt;</div>

Thanks guys!
Sarah

Thank you so much Anamaria – that’s worked brilliantly!

Is there any code I can use to lower the SHOP box’s slightly from below the products as they could do with some padding?

Thanks

Hi Bettina

Alex just responded. Alex recommended that I speak to the siteground team because he thought their cache was causing a conflict.

He was right and the siteground team added this code:

<IfModule mod_headers.c>Header set Cache-Control “private”</IfModule>

All seems to be working fine now!

Thanks a lot for your help Alex!

Hi Bettina

It appears that the fix hasn’t worked and the non-mobile theme desktop version is once again appearing on the homepage only.

I sent a reply email to the team to see if they can again take a look into this for me but I have heard nothing back from them.

I’m contemplating removing the theme, which I don’t want to do, because the homepage of my site is looking pretty awful.

I just can’t understand why the rest of the site is displaying the mobile theme fine but the homepage won’t?

Hi Bettina

Is this something you could take a look at please?

Alex replied yesterday but didn’t provide a fix. I emailed him back yesterday morning asking for an update but have had no reply.

It’s been almost one week now…

Also, I was asked to provide Vlad access to my Cpanel. I did this but have no idea if they have accessed it? Can I change the password back yet?

Please advise. The mobile theme works on my whole site just not the homepage. That’s all that needs fixing.

Sarah

Hi Bettina

Vlad contacted me last week asking for login details to my Cpanel to make the fix. I have provided these but haven’t heard anything since. I’ve sent emails Friday and yesterday with no reply.

Could you see if Vlad could provide an update for me please?

Thanks

Hi Bettina

Thanks. The plugin is installed and active. I followed your instructions regarding enabling. It was already enabled.

1. When enabled, the mobile theme looks great in the correct format on my mobile (when i view it logged into my WordPress site on my mobile).

2. When disabled, (when i view it logged into my WordPress site on my mobile) the mobile theme looks like my desktop version, showing my desktop logo centred (my desktop logo is different to my mobile logo).

3. When in incognito mode on mobile, website always shows in desktop version… 🙁

I have added this for you https://imgur.com/a/VkdR05N because on desktop it says mobile page/no mobile page?

I hope you can fix it – let me know if you need access to my wordpress to take a closer look.

Thanks a lot!

I just wanted to add to this. When I am logged into my WordPress site on my mobile the mobile theme homepage looks perfect. Everything is exactly as it should be. But if I go to an incognito browser and check the site….it shows a non-mobile homepage theme version of my site? Other people also see this weird version on the homepage. It only appears to be the home page that is wrong, because all the posts and other pages seem to be in the mobile theme.

Very odd and i’d like to return the homepage to the normal mobile theme that appears to look great when I view the site logged into my WordPress on my mobile handset please.

Thanks
Sarah

Hi Bettina

Unfortunately, that had no effect.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks Bettina

When i open the homepage (which has the wrong type of footer) and go into tagdiv composer and website manager i can only see the global template or no footer options. The post pages (which has the footer i want) doesn’t allow me to use tagdiv composer.

Is there a way i can use the footer that appears on my posts on my homepage and other non post pages?

Thanks

Thanks Bettina

Do I just paste in a URL of a picture banner I upload to my media file and that is what will display in the and space? Or do I need to add code?

Hi Bettina

Thanks, but i am getting an error triangle when i try and add that css. On the second line it gives a warning “use of !important”

ALso, is there a way/setting i can make the text smaller and not in capitals of the RELATED ARTICLE and MORE FROM AUTHOR?

Many Thanks
