Hello

A quick message to confirm you that with the last update (12.7), this bug has in my case apparently disappeared. The search form in the header is so far working well again, as it was previously.

Thank you for your support.

Hello Bogdan

Thanks for the advice. The thing is, i’ve made just a few changes to Newspaper, some indeed with a child theme, but nothing important at all. Well, perhaps it’s a plugin then …

Anyways, as a temporary solution i’ve deleted the code displaying posts in the 404 template.

Best regards

Hello

Thanks. I’ve seen this list. I fully understand that you can’t test everything, especially every plugins. And that Newspaper use custom code.

I’ll search for another similar plugin.

Thank you for the advice.

By “full width” i was thinking at the width of the (main) wrapper, of the main menu, and so on, the 1164px limit, not the full width of the screen. My mistake, i should have been more precise.

I suppose i could have used a logo instead of the adspace. In some ways a bit like in https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/ . Or perhaps with Style 9. The image i’m using is not really a logo, it’s just used to decorate but sometimes too this space is used for a classic advertising banner. You can see the result here http://www.wargamer.fr/

Anyways, i too need to look more into that. I was used to the system i had before, with random rotating images in the header. The result was nicer, less repetitive. Currently with Newspaper it’s working well, just with one image. It’s different, but nothing dramatic.

That’s what i did too. After searching a bit, i did not found another easy solution. It’s an annoying problem in this theme.

Having a full size header image should be an option.

As for having different header images on different pages, the only solution i found was to use some rotating ad plugin, but then there was a problem with the spacing above and under the ad used as an header image… This lack of rotating header compatibility is another little flaw of this theme.

If nobody has another solution, let’s hope TagDiv will improve that in the future.
