So it’s safe to assume that Newspaper doesn’t support automatic loading of next post by default within the theme? That’s a shame cause it’s a very popular feature that in my opinion should be built into the theme by default instead of having to rely on yet another 3rd party plugin.

Agreed. We just completed this upgrade path. What we did however to make future updates easier is install subversion control and document what we changed… so here’s hoping that tagDiv will provide more details when they make upgrades so people who have deeper customization can apply updates a bit easier.

Yeah I’ve got that. What I don’t have is from 6.5.1 to 6.7… That’s what I need most. Hopefully tagDiv support can send it over to me.

Yeah I seen that change log but it doesn’t state which specific files where touched. It’s more like a modification log than anything else.

Thanks for the reply Chris. We’re looking into some of the options you’ve listed. Was just wondering if there was a mode that would clean up the additional “theme specific” JS & CSS that’s entered inside the HTML in addition to the .CSS & .JS files that are loading.

I’m a fan of wordpress really… but I’m really starting to get disgusted by the way each plugin integrates it’s own CSS & JS files without an easy solution to compile data to load one single compile file vs. 20 different individual ones (sorry venting :D)

Submitted our site to the showcase but the site is still in development mode but once it’s gone live I think it can be a nice visual to showcase some customization work applied through child theme.

We’re bug testing now, fixing bugs, optimizing code & populating content. If anyone wants to help out with QA I’d love a fresh pair of eyes – http://romeo.thesparkhub.com
