you may check wpbeginner.com, they are –
1. Showing last updated on: the_modified_date
2. Using schema <time itemprop=”dateModified” …>…</time>
3. Google showing last modified date instead of date published
4. Stripping datePublished from Aricle structured data
5. Using CreativeWork instead of Article

I also highly recommend theme should have option to choose among various schema properties.

Everyone want to show date of last update for their posts. Search engine should also be able to read your date of last update. Is team working on this? If yes, when this option will be in theme by default.

Why not give fb comment plugin with theme. After updating theme changes will be undone.

delete all sections created with VC and recreate with TD composer. all done.

clear cache and try again.
