I have already set in the Theme Panel:
Themepanel -> Translations -> TAGS ‘ASX CODE’

But is still showing as ‘TAGS’.

Seems the latest theme update may be causing an issue.

Legend. Working now. Thanks 🙂

I’ve added as per above but no change:

Next suggestion?

WakeUpCallProject

Ok, I’ve added it to the sidebar now.
Let me know how you go and what to do next.

Thanks Calin, but the social counter is a widget in itself…not a code.
Also it would make it fit within the ‘block’ and pad the sides.
I like how the social plugin is full width.

Looks good with title text but how can I remove the gap between the title and the social widget under it:
https://ibb.co/ZGcm42X

Or how else can we do this?

Also, when viewing the latest article is there a way to have something appear here rather than a blank space?
https://ibb.co/mq9qbDd

Seem like wasted real estate and a bit odd with having just white space.

You nailed it. Thanks 🙂

The articles to the sides have longer titles but are not cut short.

Same for here:
https://smallcaps.com.au/?s=mining

St George Mining intersects more nickel-copper sulphides at Mt Alexander, confirms continuation of mineralisation
https://smallcaps.com.au/st-george-mining-intersects-nickel-copper-sulphides-mt-alexander-continuation-mineralisation/

Is longer than:
Andromeda Metals proceeds to next stage of Evolution Mining joint venture over Drummond gold project
https://smallcaps.com.au/andromeda-metals-next-stage-evolution-mining-joint-venture-drummond-gold-project/

But the second one is cut off with the “…” when you search:
https://smallcaps.com.au/?s=mining

There is something else causing it.

I just tried on a 1/6 + 4/6 + 1/6 setup and had the playlist in the 4/6.
Still shows the black gaps.

Need it to be full page width though, either the whole video or ideally as per the first one if the playlist on the right hand side.

WakeUpCallProject
tagDiv Member

Hmmm…ok, that’s surprising though as some of the videos show the gap above and below, some videos just have the gap below.
Also the thumbmail image fits perfect.
Would make sense to keep the playlist to the 1280 x 720 px ratio that youtube uses.

Currently have the video playlist set here:

Ok, thanks Catalin.
Will this be added in future theme updates?

A lot of people use iPads to view the site so would be handy. Makes the site looks broken otherwise.

How can you hide the date for just block 8?

WakeUpCallProject
tagDiv Member

I can’t find this option on Newsmag theme?
Also can’t find the hide search icon?
Thanks

As in it should search from this list to ensure it reaches 8 posts:

View post on imgur.com

Soon I will have 8 pages in the top 10 all the time so then if this is what is causing the issue it will only display 2 posts as trending.

“I can’t actually test that on my end at the moment”
Does this mean you can test later?

Thanks

No changes made. Is not a cache issue.

Check bottom of this page, I just created the same (but different block) to show top 8 posts…still only shows six:
https://smallcaps.com.au/about/

I suspect it is due to many of my pages now getting more traffic than posts and this will continue.

How does the popular posts search for the top posts?
Does it only search from this widget:

View post on imgur.com

If so, only 6 from the top 10 are posts, the other 4 are pages.
Meaning the parameters the filter searches need to be increased to search the top 20 (posts and pages), instead of just top 10?

Yes I have added to Custom CSS, however that loads after the theme code has loaded. Meaning it moves as the page loads

My questions is, which them file do I need to edit to make it load along with the theme?
ie. stylesheet, themeheader, etc…

WakeUpCallProject

Where can I add/edit this code in the ‘core files’?

It works now, but when a page loads you can see the menu load then move to the left causing a glitch effect.

You legend!

I used to use WP Super Cache on my sites, however has too many issues.
Performance on WP Rocket is far better too in my experience.

Anyways back to the issue, it seems odd that grids and blocks on the homepage update but not on other pages on the site.

Thanks Catalin, I’ve determined that it’s the javascript code I pasted in the previous message (not a plugin).

However have no idea how it is effecting it or what I need to change so that it doesn’t mess up the menu?

For the video you sent me the javascript in that page (https://smallcaps.com.au/announcements/) operating is:
<script src=”https://cloud.weblink.com.au/styles/chartstyles/responsive/WL_TabFrameFunctions.js”></script>
<script type=’text/javascript’ src=’https://cloud.weblink.com.au/library/js/weblinkframecontroller.js’></script>
<iframe src =”https://cloud.weblink.com.au/Clients/SmallCaps/announcements.aspx” width=”100%” height=”1200″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no” ALLOWTRANSPARENCY=”true” ></iframe>

My question is what part of it and why is causing the issue? How can I fix it?

This is the code in this page (https://smallcaps.com.au/announcements/) loading the widget that may be causing the issue:

<script type=’text/javascript’ src=’https://cloud.weblink.com.au/library/js/weblinkframecontroller.js’></script&gt;

This is the code in this page (https://smallcaps.com.au/top-stocks/) loading the widget that may be causing the issue:

Have tried multiple browsers, all show the same…one of these two things happen:

1) If you scroll down quickly as page loads then scroll back up you get this:
http://tinypic.com/r/2a4s85e/9
Also the menu does not stick to the top of the page when you scroll down.

2) When you scroll down and up the page the main menu is in the correct place, however there is no sticky menu:

Main menu/sticky menu issue also intermittently occurring on this page:

Please check my reply on the other thread as I included a screenshot.
I have put in the post ID numbers to filter out the posts, but they still appear.
