Thanks, I tried Simple Local Avatars and it let me upload an image, but it doesn’t appear on the front. I just tried the one you suggested as well… Same thing, it’ll upload them but not display them on the frontend.

I’m using the WordPress Automatic plugin off Themeforest and it auto creates contributors without an email address. If I put in a random email address they will display, but that really shouldn’t be necessary if the profile image on the front is actually linked to the user ID and not an email address.

Any suggestions?

No, this won’t work because the article you reference refers to a plugin that doesn’t use a short code…. and the plugin you suggested does use a short code.

Figured it out.
The contributors don’t have email addresses because they are auto-created by WordPress Automatic plugin and without an email address your theme won’t pull the user avatar.

Ok… so the excerpt is being picked up from the content, there is no excerpt override.

I understand how to limit the length of the title and excerpt by limiting letters or words, what I don’t understand is why it is showing an embedded YouTube code within that space. If the embed link is the first thing in the post then it’s going to show the url.

My client uses Podbean and it is really a shame that a theme of this caliber limits it’s users to SoundCloud.

To not have the ability to work with multiple podcasts, how are you able to promote your channel across the other platforms? I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to get a “Subscribe To My Podcast” on “iTunes or Google Play” or heck, even “SoundCloud” I don’t see a widget of any sort for audio in the page builder.
